COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true German-style hefeweizen made with 45% malted wheat, unmalted wheat, Munich malt and 2-row barley. The yeast is a southern German style strain. The flavor profile includes clove and banana undertones. This beer is unfiltered and slightly phenolic. The hop additions are all traditional Hallertauer hops.

Tap. Sweet orange/banana and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy amber color with small head. Sweet banana, clove, and wheat malt flavor. Light carbonation. On the sweet side - not bad.

Pours a hazy light yellow with little head. Aroma is the traditional hefeweizen yeast banana and clove character. Taste is wheat, clove, banana, and spices. Not the most flavorful hefe, but its ok.

(draft 7/20/11 at CB & Potts Highlands Ranch). Cloudy yellow color. Small white head. Light wheat and citrus aroma. Flavor of the same, with light banana and clove. Avg duration. Light dry finish. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

Had as: Humperdinks Big Horn Hefe on Tap .. . has a very unique sweetness .. light banana foster and a touch of cloves and yeast .. . medium mouth .. a bit sugary.. i thought this was good .. . That night, fate wore a cummerbund ... of suspense.

Tap in Schaumburg. Pours hazy yellow with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is medium malt (straw, meal, cookie), banana, cloves, and citrus. Flavor is malt with spices. Light body and carbonation, low warmth with a dry finish.

On tap at brewery in Chicago. This hefeweizen gets a 50% in every category. This hefe tastes just like every other hefe out there. Nothing stands out. Smells wheat, cloudy appearance, yellow hue, tastes banana and clove ester notes..
