(Draught) Pours a hazy maze color with a small white creamy head. a unique taste, not quite your traditional German-style Hefe as advertised.

Tap in Schaumburg. Pours hazy yellow with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is medium malt (straw, meal, cookie), banana, cloves, and citrus. Flavor is malt with spices. Light body and carbonation, low warmth with a dry finish.

From a sampler at the Indy location: RAM prides itself on not serving their Hefe with a lemon. The bad news is this is not a very good beer and it might have been better with a lemon. Pours a hazy gold color with a thin white head. Not much lacing at all. The aroma is not bad, with some clove, citrus and banana. The taste however was kind of disturbing. It takes like Mr. Bubble to me for some reason. It was hard to detect any wheat characteristics under the odd bath soap flavor. Same goes for the finish, it pretty much ruined the beer. I'd give it another shot but this was just not right.

Tap. Sweet orange/banana and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy amber color with small head. Sweet banana, clove, and wheat malt flavor. Light carbonation. On the sweet side - not bad.

(Ram Restaurant and Brewery, Schaumburg, IL) Draft... DLD08... Extremely murky yellow ale with a small, white, quickly dissipating head. The nose is a typical hefe unification of fruity banana, clove and Bazooka bubblegum with just a whisper of smoke. Medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Tangy, fruity and spicy. Fairly acidic with good bitterness. Finishes crisply.

Sampled from the tap at the Mundelin beer fest. Pours a cloudy slightly pale gold with a white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma is slightly perfumey with a good amount of clove and backing sweet grains and banana. The flavor has a good amount of sweet grains up front with the clove and banana coming out in the finish.
