UPDATED: MAR 1, 2011 Tasted on tap at the Fort Collins Horserooth location. Appearance is incredibly milky yellow. Looked way more hazy and milky than usual. Banana and cloves in the aroma. Flavor is mostly wheat, bananas, and cloves. Pretty good German Hefeweizen but the appearance was definitely off this time.

On tap @ C.B. & Potts, Greenwood Village, CO. Hazy straw yellow in color, fluffy white head. Smells like sugary wheat and orange citrus. Taste included those, including some subtle grassy hops and some faint banana. Some whisper of apple on the finish. Weak-to-medium bodied. Refreshing, just not outstanding.

Pour on tap at the brewpub, slightly hazy yellow pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of slight grass, clove, banana, hints of bubblegum, touch of biscuit, bread, slight more spice and yeasty notes, fairly clean overall. Taste is a mix of slight bubblegum, clove, hints of biscuit and bread, slight spice, finishing yeasty, slightly sweet, dry.

Draft to taster at the Fishers brewpub. Looks subpar for a hefeweizen; a mostly transparent golden orange with white lacing. Smells solid; banana-forward with a soft, well-balanced clove presence. Tastes like it smells, but with more clove, and with some spiced loaf as well. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied. Decent, but smells better than it tastes, and lacks the wheaty presence and mouthfeel characteristic of the style.

Had this on tap at the Indianapolis Ram. Big banana and bubblegum; slight spice - one of their better offerings.

Draft at the Tacoma Waterfront location. Cloudy lemony yellow. Very patchy lace. No head, little carb. Cloying banana sweet nose, smells almost synthetic. Creamy flat, medium body. Banana, sharp clove, and some sour orange on the mid-palate. Neutral finish.
