UPDATED: MAR 27, 2003 Draught. Body is hazy light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with a note of banana, light not of clove. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Too sweet, and overall just going through the motions, but passable.

On tap at Wheeling, IL. Poured a hazy pale golden with a dusting of white head. Nose was of candied banana sweetness with some bubble gum and grainy, yeasty notes. Flavor was quite sweet with a nice banana aspect to it.. pinch of lemon zest to finish it off was nice. Grainy, drier, and refreshing on the palate.. sweet with nice elements, but not very memorable. Decent overall.

Sampled at the Indy brewpub. A cloudy beer that has a small white ring. Cloves and banana aromas with some wheat. Flavor is pretty much the same. Some nice malt arrives late. A pleasant and sweet beer that has some decent zing in the feel.

Braudog (6716) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - NOV 19, 2003
Musky yellow-orange with a good banana aroma. Smooth banana-creme flavors. This isn't as active or carbonated as a classic hefeweizen, but this is an OK version for the suburbanites.

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 8, 2017
Pours a slightly cloudy yellow body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is pretty decent, lots of banana and clove with some yeastiness and wheat. The flavor is maybe a bit thin, but it’s decent. Lots of overripe bananas, lighter clove, sufficient yeastiness. Medium bodied with a nice smooth texture and soft fizzy carbonation. Decent effort.
