The Ram in Schaumberg (Chicago) Tap, Seasonal. Pours thick and Dark. Nice Lacy Froth at first. Bold and Roast, chocolate too but coffee hints. A quick slightly bitter finish. The most bold and satisfying of 7 or so I tried there over several weeks. Loved this brew. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - JUL 13, 2013
From notes. Draft at the shaumburg location. Pours black with a half finger of dark tan head. Loads of cho olate, caramel and coffee. Probably the best beer made by these guys. Quite enjoyable. Evolutionary (501) - Ohio, USA - MAR 23, 2013
On tap in Schaumburg. Pours black with brown lingering head. Malt and smoke nose. Great smooth as milk mouthfeel. Light carbonation and great balance. Would def drink again. Alcohol taste isn't too proud.

8th Big Beers, Belgians, and Barleywines. Pours opaque with an average, frothy, light brown head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, chocolate, coffee), average hops (perfume), average yeast (leather) with notes of wood. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 28, 2007
On tap at the 2007 GABF: Pours an opaque black with a spotty-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel and chocolate malts with some plums and doughy yeast. Starts fairly full and dark caramely malty sweet with a touch of dark chocolate toward the lingering bittersweet, slightly roasted finish. A pretty good imperial stout.

GABF 2007: Poured black with a tan head. Coffee aroma with some sweet roasted malt swimming underneath. The flavor was roasty with some tartness. coffee pokes out in the middle. Roasty but a short finish. The finish was sweet. Medium to full bodied. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - OCT 21, 2007
