WBC ’06 winner from the Seattle Ram. Dark brown colour. Light chocolate and rye bread aroma. Mild character still shows some sweet dark chocolates, toast, nuts. It’s a bit tart in the finish, seemingly from the dark malts. Award-winning "Brown Porter" is really structed like a "Robust Porter" but without the hoppiness. Enjoyable. On tap at Ram brew pub. Clear dark brown-black hued having small off-white diminishing head with good lacing. Slight coffee malt aroma. No discernable carbonation. Medium bodied that starts with restrained slightly sweet malt flavor with hints of roast malt and expresso and finishes dry with some bitterness. A good drinkable beer. Very dark brown with a nice tan head and excellent clinging lacing. Lots of dark roast ans charcoal with some cocolate notes. Soft carbonation and the characteristinc slightly thin feel of the style. Smokey bitter aftertaste. Nice offering. CaptKirk (175) - Hephzibah, Georgia, USA - OCT 22, 2005
Deep reddish brown with a bittersweet chocolate aroma. Starts with a chocoate overtones and finish very smooth for a porter. I enjoyed this while waiting for my dessert in Dallas. pinkzambia (1931) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 20, 2005
On Tap: at The Ram in Meridian. This beauty is dark brown with an off-white head. It shares a wonderful, chocolaty aroma. The flavor shows a great balance with the charcoal and chocolate tastes. The feel is thin & oily like many porters. Quite a yummy little treat! badgerben (5131) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 20, 2005
Black color with no head. Damn, this place just can not brew beer to have an aroma to save their lives! Bitter coffee taste. Very watery body.
