On tap at Kent Brewery. Aroma had strong malt and chocolate notes forward, light roasted note, and just a touch of caramel. Beer is dark, some red notes, almost opaque, with an off-white head with fair retention. Flavor was very chocolatey forward, followed by solid malt, some toffee, light caramel and nuttiness. Bittering was low. Mothfeel was moderate body with solid carb texture and light warmth. Averall we enjoyed the flavor, although there was a lot of notes to it that should not typically be in a porter. Mouthfeel could stand to be a little fuller bodied when compared to such a heavy, complex flavor as well. Skyview (6099) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUN 7, 2007
On tap at the Ram/Big Horn Brewery in Rosemont, IL (near O’Hare), pours a near opaque dark brown brew with an off white head. that quickly dissipated to a lacing and white ring that coated the glass on the way down. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, dark toasted malt and a hint of whole milk. Taste is smooth, creamy, full bodied with a slight sweet bitter aftertaste. Finish is a little watery but not thin. ilikestuff (224) - Irving, Texas, USA - OCT 25, 2007
Arlington Location- A good creamyfull bodied porter, if you like dry porters, this one isn’t for you. It has a nice dark brown color with a dark tan bubbly head. Aroma is sweet and roasted with strong rosasted malt flavors. This one is a nice treat after a long day. CP (124) - USA - JAN 28, 2008
Got a growler of this from the RAM. I thought it was really good for a standard type porter. Really easy to drink, but not a lot of different flavors. That is ok though I drunk the whole jug. Simple, but good... joergen (29234) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 20, 2008
