COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the silver medal winner in the Brown Porter division of the 1996 Great American Beer Festival. The mash temperature is higher to produce body and mouth feel. The 2-row barley base, in addition to a combination of chocolate and carastan malts, gives this beer a smooth, round character with chocolate undertones. Many people who normally donít drink dark beers will drink this beer.

Arlington Location- A good creamyfull bodied porter, if you like dry porters, this one isnít for you. It has a nice dark brown color with a dark tan bubbly head. Aroma is sweet and roasted with strong rosasted malt flavors. This one is a nice treat after a long day.

Got a growler of this from the RAM. I thought it was really good for a standard type porter. Really easy to drink, but not a lot of different flavors. That is ok though I drunk the whole jug. Simple, but good...

This site says its my 150th rating from Indiana. Pint at RAM Indy for a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner. Pitch pour, hugely lacing tan head. Has that lovely gentle roast taste, dark but not burnt, with waves upon waves of rich, deep chocolate. Full-bodied with low bitterness. Very nice!

On tap at The Ram in Seattle. Pours dark with a thin tan head. Ashy, smokey smell. Bit of a chocolate taste, smoky and caramel flavors. I thought it was a pretty solid beer.
