On Tap at the BrewPub. Clear orange with a small off white head. Sweet malty aroma. Lots of sweet malt flavor. fruity. Nice flavors but a bit unusual. Very soft carbonated.

The MacStallion I had was not a 90/- but a 5% regular ol’ Scottish. So this brew may very well a different interpretation of the theme each time out, or I had a new brew. Light brown colour, hazy. On tap @ brewpub. Color was a strange (for a Scotch) brown cloudy color more akin to a dunkleweizen. Thin soapy head. Flavor not smoky, not strong. No off flavors, bur little flavor period. (Draft: Big Horse Brew Pub in Hood River, OR) Not a whole lot of aroma to this Scotch, but it’s packed with flavor. Predominantly sweet and caramely, a mild bitterness lends some balance, and a gentle smokiness comes out in the finsh. After a vigorous swirl, a sweet and caramely nose is coaxed out. Full bodied, coating and slightly sticky on the palate, long-lasting sweetness stays on after the finish. Attractive ruddy brown colored body, with a light-tan, but short-lived head that fades to a small ring and leaves no lacing on the glass. Tap. Deep ruddy brown with a nice off-white head. Very clear. Good lacing left. Caramel, a touch of smoke generalized medium roasted grains. Medium bodied, quite smooth. Hits the mark with the malt being predominant and just the smallest hints of hop bitterness. LIghtly noticeable smoke, caramel and some chocolate in flavor. Well done.
