GBBF. Cask. Hazy brown beer, residual white head. Light dry palate. Fairly rich malt with a tiny bit of toffee. Trace of minerals and some very subtle red fruits. A dry and slightly warming finish. Not bad but it lacks something...
Cask at GBBF 2011 ... copper ... soft otffee fruit nose ... dark woody malts ... roast ... light hint of sourness. harrisoni (18577) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 3, 2011
Cask gravity at Gbbf 2011. I mean I love Oregon. I love the people the beers the wine the countryside. I will try to bear all of this in mind befre I drink a style that celebrates some kind of mythical Scots drink. Cloudy hazy mid brown with thin ring of bubbles. Its a very hoppy peppery esb. Yes some toffee yes some alcohol body but its an esb. Its a very decent fruity malty beer with good hop on end. Touch alcohol syrup but fine nonetheless Oakes (17664) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 2, 2006
The MacStallion I had was not a 90/- but a 5% regular ol’ Scottish. So this brew may very well a different interpretation of the theme each time out, or I had a new brew. Light brown colour, hazy. Fruity, sugary nose. Firm malty character, toasty but maybe not so chewy nor flavourful. Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2011
