Tall Boy from Binny’s. Now I love me the Big Hurt. But I also know what happens when celebrities put their name on a beer. Think Land Shark. Think Billy. This at least has more strength. Pours very pale yellow color under a big beer head. But this brings up a big solventy corn squeezins’ smell. Color is at least acceptable for this style. But the taste is the same old corn sugar. Again, alcoholic solvent, barely tempered by whatever hops might be struggling to smooth it out. Oh, well, Frank will make the Hall of Fame on the first ballot, this might make it to the bottom of the can.
Light yellow liquid with a thin white head. Aromas of corn, grains, alcohol, and dried weeds. Sweet flavors, with corn syrup coming to mind. Hint of bitterness in the finish. While the ABV isn’t a big hurt, the flavors are close. 9/11

Frank from pppj caked me off with this spl malt gold. Haven’t had a malt in quite some tim so it was very much appreciated. Canned day 88 of 2013 and consumed in AGG’s dining room by myself, just now. Pours gold with a nice frothy white head. Creamed corn and honey biscuits on the nose. It’s just a touch oxidized. Some grape notes floating around. Prickly carbonation. Quick finish. Actually refreshing for a 7% beer. Not bad. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - JUL 15, 2014
Can. From notes. Drank this while hanging out with the lagunitas crew in chicago. Corn and grains with a hint do caramel. Not the worst beer I’ve had. jtclockwork (16444) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 26, 2014
Can. Malt Liquor Night. RBSG St. Louis. Pours clear yellow. White head. Nose/taste of lemon, old stale grain and metallic corn. Light bodied. adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 28, 2014
In the can @ home, thanks to Homer321. Pours a touch hazy yellow appearance with a thin white head. Corn candy, cheesecake and sugar in the nose. Pretty fucken sweet flavor. Lot of candy notes along with corn. Moderate carbonation. Eh, average or slightly below average malt liqueur.

Huge props to Frank for driving all over Chitown to get me this soon to be whale. nose of sweet corn and candied sugar. slight grassiness. very pale yellow with a white head that dies immediately. Taste is initially sweet with some caramel like notes. no significant apple or skunk, so pretty decent. Ricksterdu (39) - - DEC 6, 2013
Frank Thomas is the man.
This beer cost $8 for a 12 pack.
Taste is above average given the particular style.
I appreciate frank Thomas.
I appreciate this beer.
It costs relatively the same as ice house. And has a decent taste which surpasses many domestic beers of this particular style.
Off the nose. Lemony citrus. Moderate carbonation.
I can mow the lawn and slam down 3 of these easy.
7%abv is masked beautifully.
The can says its a lager and should be reviewed as one.
It's insulting and racist that this beverage is considered a malt liquor on this review board.
I rate this higher than founders all day ipa and three floyds jinx proof.
