Nice copper coloured body with a bright orange and bronze glow, all with a thick, five centimetre tall tan head on top. Aroma of grass and very resinous hops with a good deal of bitterness and some herbal and perfumey characteristics near the end. Medium-bodied; Proper balance of malt which is noticeable at first with some resinous and very grassy hops moving through and ending on more of a piney bite with the bitterness coming at the end. Aftertaste is smooth but bitter with hops, more hops and nothing but the hops - a good malt backbone, but no sugars or earth or anything too offsetting from the hops. Overall, a pretty good beer with a noticeable hop bite and a good malt balance throughout, just not enough room for any other complex flavours - this is solely about the hops. Nice to sample and if you like hops, worth room in your suitcase given there generally aren't too many local Hawaiian beers that you can bring home from the islands. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Safeway in Kapahului, O'ahu, Hawaii on 28-December-2016 for US$10,49 sampled at home in Washington across half the Pacific and the whole of the USA on 30-September-2017 after running a half marathon training for the USMC Marathon.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a dark cream head. Malt and grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with sweet caramel. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with tropical fruit and caramel.

Light IPA. Color lighter and big bubbles. Not strong hops and doesn't last long. Taste was just alright. Expected more so disappointed ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from brewery, hazy amber beer, big creamy white head. Aroma is malt, spruce and citrus. Taste is malt, juicy mango, touch of citrus rind. Palate is rich and smooth, carbonation subdued. Tastes like an imperial.

Good but seemingly very muted hop profile. Citrus and some light pine. Medium malt sweetness. Very light bitterness in the finish. It’s tasty and all but a very light IPA.

Bottle. Grass, grapefruit, some biscuits and spices in the nose. Slightly sweet with a touch of caramel, some pine. Rounded and balanced with medium bitterness. Good but not outstanding.

Bomber. Thanks to KL. Zesty, pungent citrusy nose. Copper/amber color. Caramel, citrus, reasonable bittering in mid, fairly long tracks. Medium body. Pleasant enough, but not a standout IPA.

Clear orange color with a beige head. Sweet malts, orange marmalade, treacle, citrusy hops. Sweet, tangy, mineraly....has a sweet citrus follow, like a kids breakfast cereal that fades to a bitter aftertaste. Light carbonation, alcohol noticeable in the aftertaste, warming. Not bad but didn’t make any noticeable impression on me.

Bottle. Clear deep golden color, medium white head. Nice aroma of lightly spiced citrus. Taste has bittersweet orange, light pine. Very tasty.

22 oz bottle. From a supermarket in Honolulu, HI. Cloudy golden amber color with a big fluffy white head. Sweet fruits, air, mild sweetness and sweet dried pineapple in the aroma. Feels a bit old. The flavor is tea and resiny hops, mild bitterness, dryness, tree leaves and malt. Unfortunately this ain't fresh. But that was a problem in Hawai'i... Getting fresh bottles from the supermarkets. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
