COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A classic robust porter spiced with all-natural toasted coconut and award winning locally-grown and roasted Hamakua Coast White Mountain Coffee. Black in color and crowned with a creamy, dark tan head, toasted coconut and roasted coffee aromas are followed by hints of rich, silky dark malt and chocolate; balanced with hoppy spice finish.

22-ounce bottle purchased from a grocery store in Princeville while on vacation on Kauai. This beer was very sour, which isn't suitable for style and doesn't seem to represent the reviews here. Nevertheless, here's my review: Pours very dark brown with ruby highlights and a thick creamy tan head and lacing. Aroma: coffee, coconut, chocolate.. Flavor: the above, plus malt vinegar (very sour, so had to dump most of bottle). Mouthfeel: medium-bodied.

Rich and flavorful, but wish it had more distinctive coconut and coffee flavors coming through. seemed like a regular coffee porter with a bit more robust sweeter flavor. still good tho.

Pours a finger of tan head on a black body. Aroma is dark chocolate, burnt coconut, and coffee. Nice and dark. Taste starts with black coffee, a bit of cocoa sweet, then coffee bitterness to finish. Texture is crisp.

Aromas of roasted coffee with fairly mild toasted coconut. Resin aromas from the hops. Color is nearly black with a small light brown head. Medium sweetness; fairly bitter from some combination of hops and roasted coffee. Texture is fairly creamy; medium to full bodied; average carbonation; medium to long finish. Overall I like the roasted coffee flavor and the light touch of coconut. The base porter is fairly simple however.

Deep black color. Tan head. Robust nutty aroma with a light toasting. Flavor has a lot of toasted coconut done so well it’s delicious.

Bottle from brewery, black beer, decent almond colored head. Aroma is coffee, coconut, chocolate, sesame. Taste is coffee, chocolate, coconut, and a hint of smoke and fish. Palate is medium, carbonation moderate. Pair with poke.

From the bottle into a snifter. Pours a dark brown colour, small cream head. No lacing around the glass. Really light on the aromas, even as it warms. Coffee, espresso, roasted malts, vanilla. Matching taste - more coffee and bitterness dominate. Okay overall

Big and black with a light tan head. Roasted malts, espresso, chocolate, some sweet malt, and a bit of earth throughout. Finishes with a bit of a bite, encouraging another sip. A really well done porter.

Holy god this is practically a stout honestly. Big coffee aromas, very dark color, with a dark grain bill. Very nice!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draft at the brewpub. Near black in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of espresso powder, caramel and dark chocolate. More dark chocolate and dark roast coffee on the palate, balanced by sweet pale malt and mild toasted coconut. Medium bodied with a sharp finish. Good stuff.
