Can. Pours inky black with foamy tan head, mocha aroma, medium carbonation, bitter cocoa/coffee taste with roasted malt, thin body, long bitter finish. A bit thin for a stout, but fine otherwise.

12 oz can. Quiet pour with moderate carbonation and an aggressive aroma of roasted barley, coffee, and cacao. The beer is dark opaque with a rich tan head and abundant lace. The smooth rich malty start has notes of coffee and roasted barley carrying into the middle. The finish is long with hints of chocolate and a nice trace of hop dryness. Good mouthfeel throughout! Mmm, it’s good!

Pour out of 16 oz can, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of coffee, roast, dark chocolate, hints of vanilla, slight dark fruit. Taste was a mix of dark fruit, coffee, vanilla and slight cocoa, finishing fairly bitter, slightly sweet.

Very dark brown color. Modest aroma...but coffee is really strong in flavor. Bitter aftertaste. Not catching much cocoa.

16 ounce can into snifter; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours dense pitch black color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy dark tan head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Awesome appearance. Aromas of big dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted dark bread, light vanilla, light smoke/char, herbal, light pine, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of roast/bready malt, cocoa/coffee, and moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted dark bread, light vanilla, light smoke/char, herbal, light pine, and roast/toasted earthiness. Moderate herbal/pine hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted dark bread, smoke, char, light vanilla, herbal, pine, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt, cocoa/coffee, and moderate earthy hop flavors; with a nice roast malt/hop bitter/sweet balance and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from roast/hop bitterness as well. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and moderately sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding imperial coffee stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt, cocoa/coffee, and moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Can. Aroma is slightly sweetened coffee with cocoa. Tastes mildly sweet. Bitter finish. Great coffee bean taste with a hint of cocoa. Medium body. Goes down super easy. Nice stuff
