Hippoman (646) - Durham, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2015
Cask at The Bishops Mill (JDW), Durham. Very pale, yellowy amber beer with a smooth, white head. The nose gives only sweetish citrus notes but is pleasant. Similarly the taste has lots of sweet orange as well as drier, grassy hop flavours. Theres an unpleasant and lingering hint of sickly, sulphurous caramel to the finish, which seems to be an unwelcome hallmark of this brewery. Not great.

Cask conditioned at The White Horse, Banbury. Gold with white head. There is a damp cereal note to this, lightly fusty with a slight fungal character. Yeasty close. A little dull unfortunately.
