Black stout with a creamy head, aroma of coffee and roasted even burned malt, very dry and bitter, long dry coffee aftertaste Leighton (22508) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2013
Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell, London during the Birthday Celebration of Jack & Leighton - many thanks to Matteo for this one! Pours black-brown with a large, dark tan foam head. Lightly tangy dark malt nose, lightly floral, with notes of citrus. Moderately tangy flavor, light to medium sweet, with a bit of ash and burnt toast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly tangy dark malt finish with more ashy roast. Decent. Theydon_Bois (20879) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2013

Light black with a thin tan head that retains well.
Nose is dark malt, light chocolate, toffee notes, touch of yeast.
Taste comprises dark malts, chocolate, light funk, yeast esters, dark fruits, toffee fudge.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.
Ok stuff - a little on the thin side.
Bottle. Cheers to Colin (I think!) for bringing this along. The pour’s deep brown with a tiny head. The aroma’s of cinnamon, chocolate, nutmeg and spice. The taste is mildly tangy jammy red berries. Hints of peppery hot. Ashy chocolate body. Nice roasty dry finish. Medium/full body. Soft carbonation. Overall, a pretty tasty beer. Scopey (15864) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2013
Bottle at Jack & Leighton’s birthday celebration, thanks to teorn88. It pours darkest brown with a small light tan head. The nose is varnish, pine, light roast, coffee, toast and a touch of chocolate. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, toast, varnish, pine, earth, coffee, faint acidity and light tangy fruit. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A tasty hoppy stout.

75cl bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell. This was a good surprise. It pours a deep dark brown colour with a large beige head. Aroma is roasty and chocolatey with a definite tartness. Taste is similarly well balanced between sweet caramel, roasted malts, coffee flavours and the tartness. As it warms up the acidic character comes through and make this a very interesting offering. I didn’t see that coming. Beerschot13 (6) - laakdal, BELGIUM - FEB 10, 2013 does not count
this black stout is a very good one . Full body, nice taste of dark chocolate and cold coffee with a slightly bitter ending. It’s brewed in Belgium together with an Italian brewer. This kind of beer is one of my favourites. MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - FEB 8, 2013
Bottle. Pours a black, impenetrable beer with a creamy tanned head. Aroma has licorice, chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor is very sweet, has some fruity notes, alongside with some raisins. Very nice in balance, great beer. worldbeertaste (1818) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2013
Black that light does not penetrate with a thick creamy, tan, lasting, super lacy head. Smells of liquorish, chocolate, hops and malt with, caramel and raisin. Light thin frothy body. Tastes of dark chocolate and roasted malt and some booze and a bit of tangy red citrus on the finish. Not bad. deanso (10123) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - FEB 8, 2013
