22 oz. bomber. Great example of American Style Wheat. Light hop flavor with a crisp complex malt flavor for a wheat beer. Great summer time session brew! emerge077 (73) - RIP Johnnies, Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 6, 2011
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2011 Very pale golden orange, hazy with suspended micro sediment. Wheats are traditionally hazy, so it fits the style. Slowly rising carbonation has a nice reverse-cascade effect. A finger’s width of white foam, that lingers for a few minutes and fades to a skim.
Lightly sweet grainy wheat aroma, simple and pleasant, nothing out of the ordinary.
Flavor is mellow and smooth, wheaty and slightly dry in the finish, but very quenching. This is a hot weather beer, and i’ll seek it out again in the spring or summer for sure. Easygoing body, crisp, light and drinkable, very simple with no off flavors at all. Honey, crackers, and hay are the key flavor components. This is perfect for Kölsch fans.
An easy drinking "simple by design" session ale aimed squarely at craft novices to ease them into drinking better beer. Simplicity is underrated... obviously no one is trying to reinvent the wheel here.
Glad to see this downstate, and rumored to be hitting the west burbs of Chicago already. Nice to see a new upstart small brewer in southern Illinois, I remembered them from the Great Taste last year.

Very grainy in aroma. The flavor is very much like the description of being similar to a Kolsch, although a bit more grainy and hoppy. Not a flavor blast, but solid in flavor and easy to drink. Frank (4225) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 30, 2011
This is a nice pale colored, cloudy brew that leaves behind an enormous amount of lace after each sip. Grassy and herbal hops are the focal point above a mild wheaty malt character. Full bodied but dry enough to feel light on the palate. Carbonation is mild, adding just a bit of zip to this easy drinking beer. Finishes w/ an earthy hop bitterness to keep things interested. I wish this came in six packs so I could drink all six of them. wxman (1840) - O’Fallon, Illinois, USA - FEB 8, 2012
Pours a slightly hazy pale golden color with a full white head. Aroma is grassy and grainy. Clean refreshing taste of sweet pale malt, bread and mild hop bitterness. Thirstquenching and, as they say, Kolsch-like.

Bomber. Pours clear gold (odd) with thick white head. Aroma is straw--like a pilsner. Flavor is sweet straw. Enjoyable. Very strange wheat; tastes more like a cream ale to me. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - AUG 22, 2010
A new brewery at GTMW 2010 in Madison, Wisconsin. Sampled on draught and pours a semi-clear golden straw colored brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates to a thin white ring and film top. Aroma of golden grain malt, floral hops and a hint of citrus. Taste is light to medium bodied, flavors of golden gain malt with wheat, floral hops and a touch of vegetable. Finish is light, crisp with a short lived and light bitterness. hayduke (5618) - Eureka, California, USA - DEC 29, 2010
From 650 ml bottle shipped to me by Strykzone. Thanks. This poured a hazy gold, with a simply huge white head that filled my hefe glass from top to bottom, and refused to go away. II is rare to see this much head retention in any beer. This was served at my 50 degree cellar temperature which might explain all the foam. The nose is wheat and light caramel malt. Medium body and a highly carbonated mouthfeel. The flavor is mild for a hefe with not much going on. However forgetting the style and simply enjoying it as a lighter beer, it is easy to drink and quite refreshing. Headbanger (4020) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - AUG 17, 2011
22oz bottle 8/17/11 (Binny’s Plainfield)-Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head which has an aroma of wheat a bit of hops. Taste of the same with a bit of citrus and grass. This light bodied brew is a great mowing beer. Nice job. edgallow (4362) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 21, 2012
22 oz bottle pours golden with a white head. Aroma of straw, malt and bread. Taste is malts, grass and a bit of hops.
