Keg on the RBWG 2013 Bus. Pours dark brown with a big, cascading beige cream head. Dusty cocoa aroma, dark roast. Medium sweet flavor with a bit of dry roast, hard alcohol (perhaps vodka), mellow earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Some dark dirt to finish, hard alcohol, damp charred wood, light cocoa. Decent, interesting. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Black pour with tan head and lace. Nose is chocolate and chocolate. Flavor was chocolate with a funky kinda metallic ending. Medium body with good carbonation. burg326 (5630) - Florida, USA - MAR 15, 2013
64 ounce growler thanks to John shared with multiple people at Hunhapu day, poured a dark brown almost black color with aromas of fudge, vanilla, vodka, and some light roast. Flavors were fudgey cake with some vanilla drizzle. Subtle vodka burn in the aftertaste, just enough to say hello and goodbye in one breath. A solid beer, thanks John for the growler. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 8, 2013
On the bus, multiple pours. Pours a nice dark obsidian color with a tan head. Nose is roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, cacao, and hot chocolate. Flavor is similar-roast, chocolate, cocoa, cacao, hot chocolate, and just all manner of chocolatey goodness. Light to medium in body and simply outstanding stout. It was a mink pamphlet, Minky Monthly. There were loads of ’em on the front. Said in there it takes about ninety mink to make a small ladies’ glove.
That’s ’cause they’re really crap at sewing.
