3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had on tap at Big River Grille in downtown Chattanooga. Poured to dark brown color with a thin tan head that stuck around to mid-glass and left a little lacing. Both the nose and taste were predominantly chocolate, with just a tad of roasted nuts and coffee. Mouthfeel was medium bodied and almost chewy sweet, but enjoyable, with a finish that was long and somewhat sticky.
On tap at brewpub. Pours a dark brown with medium tan head leaving spotty lacing. Aroma is toffee and light roasted malt. Thin mouthfeel with light roast and grain. Travlr (26406) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 23, 2014

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2015 Served on tap at the JAX Seven Bridges location. Revised upwards with sample from tap in Chattanooga.
Looks inky black in somewhat low light. Small and semi-durable tan head. Almost no lacing (JAX) / good head and fine lacing (Tenn.).
Medium body with near medium carbonation.
Aroma: simple: dark roasted malts.
Flavor: rich but not quite balanced. A bit more burnt and smokey malts than optimal (JAX); just right in Tenn.. Lasting, smokey, dark roasted grain aftertaste.

Pint at big river in chattanooga with Brian. Good stout. Nothing spectacular about it but very solid. I wish there food was as good as the beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JUL 6, 2013
Draft. Poured black with a medium-sized tan head. Aroma and flavor were roasted malt, some burnt malt, touch of ash, very light fruit, mildly sweet and bitter. Nice but a bit thin. SudsMcDuff (8538) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAR 3, 2013

On tap at Seven Bridges in Jacksonville for RBWG. Pours a deep brown with thin tan head and light lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, ash, earthy hops, and bitter chocolate. Taste follows with a medium body and pretty thin for a stout. Not too bad.
