A Vienna lager is a light, amber-colored lager. This European style was developed when Vienna was the center of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Since 1833, Vienna lager has quenched many a thirst with its subtle combination of malted barley, and German hops, and its clean, crisp finish. A wonderful beer for any season.

Starts sweet and keeps getting sweeter. Apple-like English yeast overpowers the bland malts, and the finish is virtually hop-free. Shoulda stuck with the Rocket Red.

On tap at BRG in Chattanooga.

Deep amber colored body with excellent clarity. and very clear body with a semi-durable tan head and a little lacing.

Lightly sweet aroma with about equal hops and malts and a hint of caramel

Flavor: lightly sweet up front and mildly bitter by the aftertaste; hints of baked bread and faint hops.

The medium body is very smooth; near medium carbonation.

O: solid but unexceptional.

On tap. Pours amber with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of bready malt and herbal hops. Body is medium and smooth. Herbal hops, caramel and bready malt fill the mouth. Finish is long and semi-dry. On a sweet side but quite tasty.

At a lookouts game in Chattanooga. My rating might be a little inflate since it is so hot. Overall a good beer. Very smooth. Nice finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Light copper with small off white head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Medium/light body with caramel and malt notes and a sweet finish.

Draft. Poured pale amber with a medium-sized white head. Aroma and flavor were toasted malt, slightly spicy hops. Fruitiness comes out as it warms slightly (not my intention -- part of a sampler flight). Light to medium body.

Clear copper color with thin white lacing. Thin up front with bold and slightly aspicy lingering finish. Good overall.

Draft. Pours amber with a white head. Lightly sweet malty aroma, but relatively clean and grainy. The flavor is malty, with sweet and grainy notes, and not much else. Pretty good.

Draught at the Hamilton Place location. Pours light copper with sticky off-white head. The aroma is very mild with toasted malt, a tangerine hint, and subtle fruity hops. The flavor is very mellow with toasted malt, a hint of caramel, a little bit of wood. There’s a sweetness that somehow reminds me of the marshmallows in Lucky Charms cereal. Light fruity hops in the finish. The caramel quality sticks around through the aftertaste. It seems to get fruitier after several sips.
