Smells malty. Tastes quite smooth and malty. The flavor is quite good! The palate is evenly balanced and bold without being overbearing. Just very good and nice. Not over the top, but very pleasant. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 13, 2009
Nice orange color, decent head. Smells very bready and the taste follows suit. This reminds me of a marzen and I was quite surprised by ho much I enjoyed this beer. Of all the Big River beers this was probably the best one I had the chance to sample.

On tap. Pours amber with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of bready malt and herbal hops. Body is medium and smooth. Herbal hops, caramel and bready malt fill the mouth. Finish is long and semi-dry. On a sweet side but quite tasty. Shag (2987) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - JUL 2, 2003
UPDATED: AUG 16, 2003 A good beer especially for something found at a minor league baseball game. Appearance is orangish. Aroma is malty and fruity. Flavor has a nice malt kick with a slightly fruity taste, maybe apricots and oranges, and some hop presence. Mouthfeel is quite nice, creamy and smooth, with a nice bite. Much better than I expected. At a lookouts game in Chattanooga. My rating might be a little inflate since it is so hot. Overall a good beer. Very smooth. Nice finish.

Clear dark amber, whispy head, sweet toasted cakmel malt aroma, good body, sweet cahmel malt flavor touch of balancing bitterness in the finish, a lot of toasted biscuit malt flavor upon warming, an excellent example of the style

Draft... Disney Boardwalk location... Clear, deep amber lager with a small, fizzy, white head. Caramel aroma with earthy and spicy notes. Malty flavor, but well-balanced with good bitterness. Medium-bodied and creamy with lively carbonation. Coarse, lightly bitter finish. nearbeer (5369) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 3, 2008
12 oz. Clear shiny amber with a small head that flits away quickly. Malt, molasses and honey aroma. Flavor is roasted nut, light sourish honey, and chalky dry herb. Light body is slightly dry.
