Draft. Pours a Dark brown color with an average fizzy tan head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Medium spice and toasted chocolate malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Moderate spice sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish. Drinkable seasonal beer. BREWMUSKCLES (2686) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 19, 2013

Had this on tap at Urban Stack. Decent beer, did not seem much like a Porter but more like a bock. drowland (8676) - Georgia, USA - NOV 20, 2012
11/14/12. On tap at Seven Bridges in Jacksonville, FL, thanks to Aaron the brewer! Cleer deep brown pour, plenty of red under the light, with a big creamy tan head that cuts but coats the glass fully. Light milk chocolate and sweet malt on the aroma. Creamy milk chocolate taste with some roasted bitterness, hop bitterness and character, and a touch of acidity. Light bodied, smooth, and easy drinking. Tasty stuff, actually! markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 11, 2012
On draft at Seven Bridges. Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Nose is toffee, cherries, slight vanilla, and a hint of spices. Flavor is similar with hints of yeast and cherries in the finish. Nice, malty holiday beer.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2011 I’m guessing this was the holiday porter, since there weren’t any descriptions and the waitress said it was their seasonal "dark". Whatever. Not bad, watery, decent roasted malt but too sweet with a very mild, forgettable finish. Better than my sandwich. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 15, 2010
Had on tap at the Nashville location as Winter Porter, given the new designation of a Winter Bock it seems like the Winters Nip designation isn’t so much a beer of its own anymore, only a seasonal name. So I’m putting this here. Dark brown-red, dark tan head. Roast aroma, sweet and bitter chocolates, cocoa, caramel sweetness. Roasty, chocolate taste, full body. Light roasty bitter astringent finish. nick76 (4399) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 7, 2009
The aroma is a bit off but has all the basic elements of a porter, toasted malt, coffee, and chocolate (all be it very weak). The appearance is brown with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma but not yummy. The palate is thin. Overall not one of my favorites. Oakes (17668) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 13, 2009

Dark brown. Nice chocolatey aroma. Lightish body is nonetheless fairly smooth. Chocolatey notes. Decent example.
Opaque black with nice tan head and mine came with a horseshoe design for good luck. Very nice chocolate and charcoal aroma with lots of chocolate malt. Soft and creamy mouthfeel. Lots of smoke in the finish, adding to the nice flavor profile. Toasty too. Not complex but a solid brew.
