HogTownHarry (7065) - Toronto (Harbourfront), CANADA - JUL 25, 2017
March 12, 2015 - with blankboy, gregclow, jercraigs and mabel - bomber. Fairly clear burnt copper pour with an average creamy diminishing beige head. Smells like a watery dubbel - candi sweet, a bit yeasty and floral (7-). Taste is very sweet - light yeast and bitterness - mostly just sugary. Slick, still, syrupy mouthfeel - not too boozy - just sweet and simple.

Some prune and decent florals. A light hint of smoke like old bar stools. More like a dubbel really. Pours hazy dark. Light sweet finish. Not bad and exceeds my expectations for Big Rock. Bottle from Keg n Cork.

Patrickctenchi (6731) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - NOV 27, 2016
Bottle: Cloudy, dark brown with an off-white head. Caramel, dark fruit, earthy aroma. Taste is rich caramel malt, plum.... actually has a little heat and sting to it, though very smooth.... Not a trace of alcohol bitter. Pretty nice.

shrubber85 (11618) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - NOV 11, 2016
Bottle. Peat, whiskey, chocolate toffee malt, and hay aroma. Dark chestnut brown with moderate head. Moderately sweet nutty toffee malt and moderately bitter hay flavor. Okay body - a bit light. Moderately strong whiskey finish. Pretty nice.

OldMrCrow (2446) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 3, 2016
Bottle.

Deep brown pour, pretty nice looking. Aroma is OK, Belgian dubbel cola, though a bit harsh with...I don’t know...some off element or another, some fruits. Flavor is pretty terrible. Harsh, alcoholic, burnt, thinly sweet rather than richly sweet, yuck. Maybe they should dub it an "imperial dubbel ale." Just enough like a belgian ale to get me into the mood, but just bad enough that I have to pour it down the drain.

PeatyPete (1108) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 25, 2016

From a 650 ml bomber. A very dark brown ale with light tan moderate head and fruity nose. The flavor is of dried fruits and grain. Low bitterness. 3.8

650ml bottle. Pours a dark brownish/red with off white head. Sweet banana and syrup aroma. Sweet and very malty with banana and christmas pudding flavours and some woody notes. Medicinal in texture and a sweet brown sugar finish. Pretty good.

[7143-20150312] 650mL bottle. Mild wet worm and grainy toasted banana aroma. Slightly hazy, dark red brown body with a quick foamy light mocha head. More wet grainy worms and and roasted plummy fruit flavour. Medium-full body. Simple, kind of boozy but also muted. (7/3/8/3/15) 3.6
