Bottle shared at Kenny’s 20k 15/01/2016. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A reddy dark brown coloured pour with a small fine tan head. Aroma is solvent alcohol, cakey malts, nutty dried fruits. A little farmyard on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of cakey malts, fruit loaf, tangy dried fruit, nutty malts. That’ll be me 20K then @ ChrisO’s. Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has good fine carbonation. Thin but rich tasting dark malts, aged and spicy tasting dark chocolate. Dark fruits, bourbon soaked. Warming finish. Not bad.

Black with a decent tan covering.
Nose is soy sauce, chocolate, spice, toffee fudge, molasses.
Taste comprises more soy sauce, tobbacco, cocoa rub, toffee, dark fruit rinds, light barrel.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light warming booze.

Aroma is molasses, meaty, vanilla, booze. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is molasses, vanilla bourbon, booze and wood. Quite harsh and boozy. Bottle at MadMitch76 20K tasting, thanks to the main man himself. It pours opaque darkest brown – black with a small light tan head. The nose is toasted malt, treacle, umami, raisin, plum, prune, sultana and fruit cake. The taste is toasted malts, earth, Eccles cake, big alcohol warmth, spice, chewy malt, wood and light vanilla with a warming finish. Medium – full body, moderate carbonation and oily mouth-feel. A bit chewy perhaps, but decent enough overall.

Bottle:   This is the 2011 vintage.   First off, thanks to Pailhead for the trade.   Deep brown
pour, burnt caramel hues, thin sudsy head, tannish in color, with spotty lacing.   Soft bourbon on the nose, sweeter than
most, a bit candyish with vanilla and cocoa.   Some heat and dark pitted fruit as it warms.   It also has some sweet
coconut as well.   Not a hoppy Imperial Stout.   Malty, sweet, with some nice bourbon notes, but not too heavy.
Its alcohol is well hidden.   Smooth, but not silky.   Fairly full bodied.   Overall this one had some

Counter Pressure Filled Hand Bottle (2008 batch)... This beer rocks!… Pours murky and dark brown with a fleeting, white head. Wow, this baby still packs one hell of a punch. The bouquet is an intertwined swirl of caramel and coconut accompanied by whispers of milk chocolate and vanilla. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor is both boozy and chocolaty, offering subtleties of coconut and vanilla. A bit nutty as well. Finishes acrid, boozy and moderately sweet. Clear medium brown colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, caramel, licorice - laber laver, alcohol - bourbon. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, vanilla, caramel, laber laver. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
