Bottle at home ... with Fin and thanks to Fin ... with additional thanks to Miketd for this rarity ... Deep black ... Oh my THe Bourbon is way tooo much up front in nose ... ive not tasted yet... but the bourbon has me scared ...flour as expected has the bourbon clearly to the front ... bit to rought in its alcohol ... the nice stout and roast malt charcater are there but are being trampled upon by the Bourbon.. I think this is a beer that might well be much better on the Bourbon barrels 2nd use. Bottled 5-6-08 after 2 years in Bourbon barrel acording to label.

That’ll be me 20K then @ ChrisO’s. Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has good fine carbonation. Thin but rich tasting dark malts, aged and spicy tasting dark chocolate. Dark fruits, bourbon soaked. Warming finish. Not bad.
Hand bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Comes as. "Big Rock Chop House Double barrel Russian Imperial Stout". Pours a cloudy dark brown with an orange hue - far from black - with a tiny beige head. Sweet roast and heavy Bourbon in the nose. Rich body, a little low in carbonation, very sweet roast, thick and syrupy, loads of vanilla and bourbon, licorice all-sorts style. Warming boozy finish. A sweet but delicious one. 190412 Theydon_Bois (20497) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2016

Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light warming booze.
So so ... don’t think this one has aged so gracefully. harrisoni (19194) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2016
Bottle at Madmitch 20k tasting. Black beer. No head. Soy sauce aroma. Soy sauce bourbon. It’s oily. Not one of my favourite. OK ish. brokensail (16631) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 8, 2011
A: The beer pours almost black in color with a small off-white head.
S: Absolutely smells like a glass of bourbon. Intense bourbon and booze aroma with a bit of vanilla and oak. There is a bit of actual roast and dark chocolate to it, too.
T: The flavor is fairly intensely bourbony/boozy, too. There is a strong dark fruit aroma, mostly from the booze. A bit of charred oak and vanilla, and some booze. There is just a little bit of roasted malt and chocolate. And booze.
M: Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation.
O: Definitely boozy, but pretty decent flavors and aromas.
