Bottle split at Kenny 20K, thanks to Mitch the Bitch, 15/01/16. Hazed orange amber with a decent light beige cap. Nose is sweet malt, sugar, wheaten loaf, booze, fruit esters. Taste comprises sweet licks, toasted malt, fruit rinds, caramel, booze notes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light warming alcohol in the close. Sippable but doesnt deliver much on the ABV, lacks depth.

Bottle consumed at Kennys 20K tasting, thanks to the main man himself. Opens with a gush! It pours hazy bright copper with a small white head. ~The nose is rich, bitter - sweet, sticky, cereal, stewed orange, tinned peach and fruit cake. The taste is crisp, pretty sweet upfront, earth, alcohol warmth, wood, leather, honeyed grain, cereal, toast and peach. Full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Interesting and enjoyable in small doses!

Enjoyed at an all barley wine tasting at Traviss house on February 21. This was shared by Ryan Meray from an unlabeled 12 oz bottle. He said this was from 2012. The pour is a lighter golden orange with a thin egg shell colored ring of head and not any lace. The aroma is a little oxidized with a tough of leather or tobacco joining the fruits that are there with a nice booziness. There are definitely some citrus tones here, with a little spiciness, presumably from the wheat. The flavor is pretty much on par with this. There is a little more booze perhaps, The fruits take hold, almost tropical and citrusy, with a nice spicy trend that isnt bad at all. The alcohol definitely moves through on the back end to domination. The mouth feel is thick and viscous, maybe a touch syrupy. The carbonation is light and soft, helping it cling. The aftertaste is lingeringly fruity and boozy. This is a unique brew, and pretty good to boot.
