Signature Series
Pale in Colour, Not Flavour
If hoppy makes you happy, this Pacific Northwest-style IPA is your beer. We brew it with two kinds of delicious Yakima Valley Cascade hops, in such a way as to deliver the maximum heavenly hoppiness to your tastebuds, with the minimum bitterness.

Little Known Fact
The Cascade was the first North American-made aroma hop and the first hop variety from the USDAs hop research program to be approved for sale since prohibition. Its aroma is now one of the hallmarks of North American craft beer.

Editors note: "session" was added to the name in 2016, same ABV, so we changed the style accordingly

473 ml can purchased singly from Sobeys Liquor and served in a shaker pint glass. Pours a clear, bright medium copper shade with moderate carbonation and a well-retained, light tan head that leaves vertical streaks of lace. Fairly fresh grapefruit, lemon, pine, and some lighter floral notes are immediately present in the aroma, with malt lying low. Flavor accentuates a little more of the malt, while the moderately strong hops rightly take center stage; citrus and pine predominate. Medium mouthfeel and a gently dry, bitter palate. There are more appealing and fresher, vibrant IPAs, but Big Rocks version aint half bad.

355 ml can poured at home. hazy and amber in color with a medium frothy head. Very little hop smell or taste for an IPA. Doesnt come with the typical bitter aftertaste either. A previous review called it an IPA for lager drinkers. Drinkable beer but not what I would consider an IPA.

Aroma very faint for an ipa. Not very bitter. I think its made more for a lager drinker, not a hop head. Found it was ok, as casual beer to drink not something to yearn for.

Pours earthy brown with a medium beige head. Aroma is a messy malt profile. Taste is more malt forward, with some earthy hop bitterness again on the moderate side.
