From bottle -pours light copper tone with slight white head that dissappears fast. Aroma is slight ginger and rye. First sip reveals sweetness with rye bread doughiness. There is a nice light ginger tingle. Overall this tastes light and bready. Aftertase has a slight ginger spicey sweetness. As it warms up, more ginger spice is evident. Very drinkable with just enough kick to make it interesting.

341mL Bottle. 5%. Clear golden pour with a hint of copper. Aroma is real ginger and malty sweetness. Was expecting a fizzy, gingery mess, but this is balanced, crisp mouthfeel, not dominated by any one characteristic. One of the best of the brewmasters series.

DuffMan (10609) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 1, 2013
Bottle. Medium golden amber colour, low white head with brief retention. Aroma is sweet and cookie-ish. Flavour is pleasantly malty, more than I was expecting quite frankly. Nice light ginger, lightly toasty. I was expecting alco-pop nonesense, so this was a nice surprise.

pours yellow with almost no head. I can smell the big rock yeast and some rye malt. light and smooth. malty with the slightest note of ginger. The ginger flavour is so light that I don’t think I would even notice it if I wasn’t looking for it. All in all another shitty Big Rock brew.

garth_86 (225) - EDMONTON, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 7, 2012
Pours a golden color with OK head. Armor is some ginger and spice. Taste is rye, but not much ginger. OK beer.

Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 11, 2012
Pours a golden orangish color with a small white head. Smells light of ginger and has some faint rye notes on the palate with a mild hop finish. Very easy drinking.

Bottle, brought back from Canada by Jim - thanks! Pours clear light amber with a small white head and no lacing. Aroma is grainy, plus ginger, rye, and undefined spiciness. Flavor is the same, grain dominating over notes of ginger and rye. Light bodied and dry with a spicy finish.

pintbypint (3767) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 10, 2012
341ml brown bottle. Pours a nice deep golden-orange colour, fails to hold a head. Nose has light rye, mild ginger. Taste has grains-bready notes, some caramel midway and mild ginger spiciness. Finishes with a light rye bread note, dryish. Lots of carbonation, medium body. Would have liked bolder ginger and rye flavours in here, but I sorta liked this anyway.

Sparkling golden orange, white head.Light ginger nose.Effervescent ginger profile, faint rye notes, light hop finish.

sulawang (1189) - - JUL 13, 2012
pours clear golden copper yellow, minimal head with ringed retention, thin micro CO2, a few slow-moving CO2 streams. Not much aromatics going on in the nose. Fizzy cream soda up front, transitions into bread, yeast, mids kick in with a mild tingly pepperiness, and ends with a watery mouthfeel and light malted caramel. Ginger flavour is very dampened and lifeless; no kick from it at all. Low-medium complexity, low-medium carry, okay transitions, below average carry, okay drinkability. Not a crap beer but none of the expected spicy punch.

RumRunner101 (918) - Alberta, CANADA - JUN 22, 2012
Aroma is has some sweetness, biscuits, ginger is slightly noticeable. Initial flavors are again biscuits, some sweetness. The ginger is noticeable, but its not right in your face. Body is thin finish is poor. Not for me.
