Bottle - small foamy head, medium straw color, mildly lemon aroma with a bigger lemongrass flavor, slightly spicy finish, not bad overall

This kind of a witbier, I guess, what w/ the corriander and all... but not really. It’s very cloudy, amber-tinged orange. It has a long lasting foamy head of mixed bubbles. It smells pretty nice, kinda floral w/ some banana and a touch of sweet citrus, which seems like its from the coriander. This kind of sweet, sticky and heavy feeling on the pallet which is too bad because otherwise this would have a nice interplay of fruity flavors going on. It finishes w/ a solid punch of earthy bitterness. This is kind of a near miss and I think the recipe and or process could be refined to where this is a really tasty, light beer. It’s just not there yet. andyhwcinc (1884) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 27, 2015
Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a Monday night. I’m not particularly a fan of this one, unfortunately. The wheat and lemongrass give this a soapy profile with spice notes. Just not for me. tmoreau (4369) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - APR 3, 2014
On tap at Pour Phil’s in Oak Park, IL. for this year’s Tale of Two Parks Pub Crawl. Served as a full sampler with a cloudy, straw color, with a modest layer of white head foam, and wavy streaks & spots of lacing. The nose was lightly sweet, grassy, floral, and citrus. I looked around to see if anyone had just gotten a hair cut, then concluded that a combination of the spice & lemongrass gave off a light, Pinaud aftershave scent! The taste continued the citrus and light sweetness in a light body, with lively carbonation, spritzy mouth-feel, and some dryness on the finish. Light, and decently quaffable. crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 3, 2013
Very fruity and tangy wheat ale, the lemongrass plays a big role in the taste, decent.
