Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of scrizzz. Pours amber with a slight haze and a creamy and lacing off-white head. Aroma has some dark and overripe fruit with a little yeast. Solid body, heavy carbonation, dark overripe fruit with a little caramel and a vague oxidization and some metal. Finish has a surprising bitterness and quite some alcohol. Appears stronger. 270310 fiulijn (21470) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 26, 2014
Dark amber color with medium head. Malty, caramelly, sweet, with low bitterness, bit of alcohol, and some ending nuttiness. Mild fruity esters. I had some Belgian beer similar to this, not the most impressive though. mcberko (19227) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 14, 2014
Simple, not bad.
12 oz. bottle, pours a clear dark orange amber with a small white head. Aroma is very fruity and malt-heavy, with loads of caramel, toasted nuts, bready notes, and some herbal qualities. Flavour is cloyingly sweet, with lots of caramel, bready notes, and lots of residual sugar. Way too sweet, not anywhere close to a biere de garde. Not good. Golden-brown colour. Big nose - wood, deep chewy and dark sugary malts. Fruits are slightly caramelized. The body is a little to the soft side, sugary, with a light alcohol finish. Burnt fruits come in...a little simple for a beer this size, IMO. jtclockwork (17468) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 14, 2015
Bottle. Pours dark brown tan head. Nose/taste of plum, chocolate, dark fruit, toffee and caramel candy - medium body
