12 ounce bottle. Pours a solid black with a half inch dark tan head that lasts. Taste is of coffee, malt, chocolate, some smoke and some hops. Similar, cleaner aroma. Has a decent body with a dry finish. Good, but underwhelming. cards04 (2921) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - APR 10, 2013
Pours Black with light tan head. Great aromas of coffee and a beautiful nuttiness. Almonds. Excellent. Flavours of coffee and a nice earthiness. Robust and balanced. Great Porter. Sledutah (7838) - Utah, USA - APR 8, 2013

Appearance: Pours clear dark brown with a small tan head and some lacing
Aroma: Roasted malts, roast coffee and ashes
Taste: Roasted malts, coffee, rich chocolate and some smokiness
A nice coffee porter, the label on this beer describes the taste.
Almost black in color with a tan head. Really nice coffee aroma. Strong coffee, mild spice, and a dark berry aroma. Some cocoa powder, dark chocolate, and hints of caramel sweetness to go along with all the roast. The flavor is a bit less impressive, but still enjoyable. Coffee, roasted malt, and a fair amount of dark chocolate. Mild spice, some earth, and a light bitterness. AlanRyker (45) - - MAR 21, 2013
Just the right balance of sweet and bitter. Roasty, but not too acrid. You can taste the coffee, especially at first, but that declines. My only quibble with this beer is that it’s too light and effervescent. Otherwise, very well-balanced and tasty.

Pours dark black with small light brown head out of bottle. Chocolate/coffee aroma. Great coffee taste with a hint of chocolate. Great beer! Big Sky keeping up the high quality brewing!

Draft at Monk’ Pub. Kind of an oblique toast to a Pope from Argentina. Black pour with a 1-finger tan head. Distinct brewed coffee aroma, not too bitter. But the coffee in the actual taste is a bit more bitter, or perhaps it’s the hops talking. There is some roast on the palate, but it’s rather "patient," waiting to sneak up on you. Not a lot of alcohol, but it is still presented for your appreciation. Nsanders (1172) - St Paul, Minnesota, USA - MAR 16, 2013
Dark brown with small bubbles, looks thicker. Aromas of malts, milk, muddiness, and only minimal coffee. Moderately sweet with a slight bitter finish. Medium body with a foamy feel. tuckcapital (1) - Kansas, USA - MAR 10, 2013 does not count
A - Great looking beer. Very dark black with darker tan head. Lacing is okay.
S - Strong coffee aroma with chocolate hints.
T - Nice example of a coffee porter. Not too strong on the coffee taste. Nothing really stands out though. A little bit of nuttiness.
M - Mouthfeel leaves a little to be desired. Body is lighter than I would have like. Carbonation is also a little lighted than I would have liked. Dryer finish is nice. This is where the beer could improve.
O - A good drinkable coffee porter. Not too intense and good balance. Maybe makes a good coffee session beer, if there is a such thing. Good enough to have once, probably won’t be revisiting for a while. thewalkindude (8) - - MAR 4, 2013 does not count
Strong coffee taste. Not too different from a coffee stout. Overall another strong entry from Big Sky.
