pours black like the soul of a whore. nose of fig, faint banana and burnt molasses. taste is sweet with a following alcohol punch that gives way to a hint of smoke and light iodine. definately an interesting imperial stout, but one thats miles behing, say Boulevards Imp Stout, which is amazing. big sky, keep trying. even a semi-good imperial stout is better than a sharp stick in the eye.

Bottle #199/3000 Thanks to George and Kieth in sharing this with me. Deep black pour with a brown head. Nice bourbon aroma wafts up during the pour and even after the beer was finished. Notes of vanilla and chocolate accompanied it. Taste was smooth. Bourbon(big fan of Beam), vanilla and chocolate. Great lacing on the glass.

Bottle This beer rocks! Pours tar black with a small, creamy, khaki head. Good retention. The aroma presents heavy notes of toasted coconut, lightly roasted cashews, bourbon, vanilla and dark chocolate. Full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The rich, hearty flavor is almost a photocopy of the nose toasted coconut, bourbon, chocolate and vanilla. Finishes is lengthy, sweet and a touch boozy with a kiss of vanilla at the very end. Bottle of this world class impy stout courtesy of Beerlando!

Thanks very much for sharing this Todd! Bottle 902/1152. The beer pours to a black body with a coating tan head. The aroma is sweet bourbon, oak, and chocolate. Perhaps some cherries? The flavor is chocolate cherries and coconut oaked bourbon. Medium full body. Creamy. Delicious. It delivered nicely!

Bottle: Pours with sublimely dense chocolate milk colored head, a swirl coats the glass thick as a black pron stars cock..underneath, the beer sits jet fucking black. The nose is robust..roasty, boozy, and extremely nutty...the fumes seem to climb up the nostrils into the brain...Once in the brain, chocolate, toffee, coffee, and lactic notes melt all your brain cells. My good lord, the flavors are like straight of liquefied nut butter. Sweet underneath, waves of chocolate and vanilla splashing you in the face, and thick liquefied nut butter. Carbonation is there but very soft...the mouthfeel is extremely silky..the booziness is present and warming but not overly hot. This will still get better with a year or two on it, but its still quite exquisite.

This is a limited release, only 3000 bottles this year. Pours inky brown, with a nice brownish-tan head. lacing. The aroma is rich and dark, the flavor has roasted malts and coffee with bourbon. There is oak and vanilla, with dark chocolate features as well. This is so rich and complex that it is almost syrupy, but I like it. I see why someone said they would pour it on vanilla ice cream...Thumbs way up.
