COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.
Note: ABV went down to 5.1%.

Not bad, but a bit watery tasting. No obvious aroma, slight malty taste with tiny hint of spice. (K)

Mahogany color with a fluffy tan head of foam. Roasted malt and nutty and sweet malt aromas and flavors. Sweet caramel complexity with a sweet and spicy hop finish.

Easy drinking. Pretty average brown like tree trunks. Pours dark brown with decent head and lacing. Some caramel. Bittersweet but light finish. Bottle at airport.

Bottle. Toasty brown sugar notes in the aroma. Rich toasty, bready, caramel taste. Dry finish. Enjoyable brown.

Can from Greg (gregwilsonstl) -- cheers! An old-fashioned, traditional kind of brown ale that wouldnt be out of place in a British pub or a mixed 12 pack from 1997. Average body with a good amount of foam, followed by a general sweet caramel maltiness and a little bit of nut flavor. Is it fancy? Not really. But Id happily drink a lot of this.
