Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a clear deep golden with a white head. Sweet, malty biscuity nose with subtle hops. Rich, sweet malty body, again that typical biscuity American malt bill, chewy fruits, a solid dose of hops and some warming alcohol. 250313

Bottle. Clear amber color, medium tan head, nice lacing. Aroma of caramel and light spice. Taste is spiced butterscotch. Not bad. Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 18, 2002
Bright orangey-brown; malty, demerara-like flavours, some toffee but overall a rather light effort for a winter ale. Other than some fleeting tosaty chocolate notes there is nothing to balance the sweetness, either, which doesn’t help matters. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - MAR 2, 2014
On tap @ Beachwood BBQ. Golden-orange pour with a small white head. Nose is big on the caramel, apple, and orange marmalade. Quite sweet and sugary. Some fruity esters, light spicy and herbal hops, and toasted bread. Flavor is also very sweet. Tons of caramel, toast, and sugar. Candied orange/marmalade, baked apple, and some lightly bitter, herbal hops. Not my thing. bhensonb (15237) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 15, 2007
Aroma is dark, bready malt, with barely detectable hop. Mahogany color with an off-white head that did a bit of lacing. Near medium in body with creamy carbonation. Touch of apricot! Dark roasted caramel, nutty, and apricot flavor and aroma. Lots of malt, but not all that sweet. The finish is somewhat dry after the sweetness drains away, leaving roasted malt remnants, still a bit of apricot, and maybe that’s floral hop? A little bitter does seem to build, but British hops? Notorious flowery things. This is a little "brown", a bit rough, but the flavors make it a fairly decent drink. Glad I bought it. Ratman197 (14852) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 11, 2007
Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a large lasting amber head. Aromas of toasted malt, light carmel and toffee and a hint of chocolate. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of toasted malt, toffee and a hint of chocolate with a smooth dry finish.
