Bottle courtesy of douglas88. Pours brown/copper with a thin tan head. Smells of caramel, nutty, earthy, fruity. Tastes of caramel, raisins, spicy, some fruity hints on the finish.

Aroma is toasty, roasty, a little sweet, with a touch of aspirin. Pours amber ish. Flavors of toasted malts, caramel, toffee. Some roast all with a almost unpleasant medicinal finish. Not my favorite.

The beer pours a golden-orange color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the toffee with some caramel and grassy hops mixed in. The flavor is toffee and bready malt. There is a little bit of hop bitterness and a tad bit of flavor from the grassy hops, but this beer is all about the malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. When I opened the beer I was expecting a winter warmer. It was a surprise to see a lighter colored amber ale, but the beer was still enjoyable.

Aroma and flavor is mildly sweetish caramel malts and a decent hoppiness in finish. Pretty good ale, easy to drink but with a decent thickness and body.

Bottle courtesy of hopdog! Ruby body with a small tan head. Nose is malty and fruity with caramel notes, rich toffee, dark fruits, and brown sugar. It almost smells like a dessert. Cant place my finger on it, though. Taste is malty and slightly floral. Some caramel and toffee notes along with ripened fruits and soft nutty flavors. Body is creamy and smooth. Mild carbonation with an overall medium feel. Finishes with more caramel, bigger fruit notes, light hops, light toffee and toasty malts. Touch of brown sugar as well. Nice!

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear amber with a nice off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, citrus, spices and piney hops. Taste is piney hops, malt and citrus. Some alcohol presence. Decent.

Gold pour with off white head and lace. Light citrus, orange peel, with light bread. Some earthy hops I thnk. Dry caramel malt, orange zest, nice finishing bitter. A bit thin and fizzy.

Clear orange amber color with a lasting light golden/tan head. Aroma of light malt, anise, and stomach acid. Slightly sour orange flavors, along with mild malt. Very sour/bitter finish makes you want to drink something else.

Clear light copper coloured body with a honey golow and a nice, thick dense off-white head with a nice lace leftover. Aroma of strong, bright citrus and grapefruit hops, yeast, apricots, coriander seed, curacao, honey and some pungent malt - very nice indeed. Medium-bodied; Biting hop flavour at first with a good malt backbone, some light yeast flavours, a touch of bright sweetness and a little alcohol flavour near the end. Good yeast and honey flavours to finish it off and a little light hoppiness in the aftertaste. Overall, a good beer - not too strong and not too weak, but a good beer for the season and a variation from the typical, roasted malt beer during this time of the year - nice! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchants in Dearborn, Michigan on 16-January-2011 for US$2.59 sampled at home in Washington on 12-March-2011.

Malt and caramel aromas. Very dark orange with a head that lasts. More malt and caramel in the taste. Seems like an English strong without being ruined by alcohol flavors.
