Pours a crystal clear amber with nice off white head. The aroma is rich roasted malts, mild piney to grapefruit hops and sweet malts. All well melded and inviting. I also get some grainy malts too. The taste begins with mild pine to grapefruit hop bitterness followed by chewy caramelized malts and some sweeter maltiness. Roasty malts seem to build some toward the finish. Nice offering. hopscotch (11236) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 23, 2008

Sweet, carbony flavor... burnt marshmallow. Sweet, vinous finish. Bottle courtesy of mgumby10! RasterMaster (258) - , Oklahoma, USA - SEP 25, 2008
Amber-brown pour leaving a small off white frothy head that mostly diminishes. Sweet malty flavor with light lacing in the glass leaving a creamy finish. MUSH ON you huskies! Only 3 of these in the store to take home....would like to "sample" a few more. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAR 19, 2010

Clear light copper coloured body with a honey golow and a nice, thick dense off-white head with a nice lace leftover. Aroma of strong, bright citrus and grapefruit hops, yeast, apricots, coriander seed, curacao, honey and some pungent malt - very nice indeed. Medium-bodied; Biting hop flavour at first with a good malt backbone, some light yeast flavours, a touch of bright sweetness and a little alcohol flavour near the end. Good yeast and honey flavours to finish it off and a little light hoppiness in the aftertaste. Overall, a good beer - not too strong and not too weak, but a good beer for the season and a variation from the typical, roasted malt beer during this time of the year - nice! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 16-January-2011 for US$2.59 sampled at home in Washington on 12-March-2011.

On tap at Wheatberry. Pours an amber orange with a thin eggshell head. Nose of herbal tea, earthy hops with some toffee and caramel notes. Mostly sweet with some bitterness attempting to balance. Lighter side of medium bodied, softer carb, with an earthy bitter finish. Decent brew, somewhat low-key, not super balanced, but easy to drink. jackfrost9p (338) - California, USA - FEB 17, 2013
Decent beer. Floral and hop aroma. Nice grassy or earthy aftertaste. Very smooth and drinkable at 7.2abv. Nicely done. gschrade (1099) - Collinsville, Illinois, USA - DEC 3, 2013
I had this at Global Brew. Pours orangish-gold with white head. Taste floral, fruity, sweet. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

This is a tasty beer. It doesn’t really taste to me like English hops were used but I guess they were. This is a nice clear orange yellow in color and has a small head and little spots of lacing. Its nose isn’t much, quite mild w/ just a hint of hops and some toasty malt, but it seems to burst w/ bright hop flavor when you taste it. It’s lemon up front, which is highlighted by a touch of honey-like sweetness and it wanes to a more earthy character in the finish which compliments the caramel malt flavor. It finishes clean w/ some lingering sweetness and just a touch of bitterness. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is about it I like so much but I really enjoyed this beer. 281151 020516 stamped; consumed on 1/05 and 1/06/16. Golden color, clear, well carbonated. 1/2 inch off-white creamy head that recedes fairly quickly, leaving some lacing. Nice hop aroma, faintly spicy, hint of citrus. Mild initial taste with a well established malt backbone with subtle hop flavor. Appropriate mouth feel for the style, tending toward slightly thicker than expected. Very well balanced, with a moderate level of bittering in the finish. This is not a hop-forward ale, but neither is it an overly malty ale. Well balanced, no booziness even at 7.2% ABV, but don’t expect a big, WOW flavor profile. Easy drinking, pleasamt and enjoyable for a winter evening.
