Pours a golden orange, finger head. Some lace. Clear. Classics hop ripe fruit , some herbal plantiness, some malt breadyness and caramel sweetness or fruit sweetness.Possible spice from rye. Taste is full body some medium caramel . Light raisony toffee. Balanced sweetness. Smooth mild bitter. Pine citrus. Some dry toast. Overall a really tastey pale. Aroma could be better. jake65 (4034) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - NOV 1, 2015
Bottle: Bright copper pour with a fluffy finger of beige head. Nose is sort of dirty and floral, lightly spicy from the rye. Clean and crisp flavor, moderate bitters and lightly sweet. Really digging the bit of citrus before its cut by the rye, quite nice overall. ajnepple (7739) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - OCT 29, 2015
12 oz single bottle from Wilburs. Clear orange appearance with a white head and patchy lacing. Peppery spice, floral notes, earth, pine and grass in the aroma. Similar flavor. Pretty drinkable overall. wxman (1872) - O’Fallon, Illinois, USA - OCT 13, 2015
Pours a clear pale orange with a large full off white head. Aroma is soft sweet hops. Taste is sweet toasted malt, with some caramel and a medium hop bite. Slightly odd character I would chalk up to the inclusion of rye, and a bit of imbalance between the hops and malt. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 10, 2015
12oz bottle from the fridge tonight.. Picked up at WF a week or so ago and finally getting to it tonight.
Poured into my BeerMongers CBC tulip.. Christ, the tulip glass is ALOT bigger than 12oz.. Easy pint!! Clear light amber brew with good pancake batter looking foamy white head... good retention and lacing...
Nose shows plenty of nutty rye malt with dry toasty malt backbone that is equally balanced by an aggressive American CCC hoppiness..
Nice bitterness.. rye/toasty maltiness is a star but still the hops hammer home the PNW provenance..
Very complex beer for a shelf 12oz!! I dig it a bunch... The "rye" really tastes like RYE and the hops marry well with the malt.. Fantastic.. Surprising.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2015 355ml bottle. Clear amber pour, darker head. Aroma is citrus and dank with a huge hit of just plain earthiness. maybe some white grape or gooseberry. Flavor is breadcrusty malt, very dry with a tangerine acidic finish bitter and lightly tart. Decent. snoworsummer (6508) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 15, 2015
Bottle. Tastes like rye malt, pine hops, and musky grapefruit. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like rye malts, pine hops, and musky grapefruit. onceblind (11518) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 8, 2015
Brilliant clear copper with a thin foamy and persistent white head. Spicy dry earthy nose with rye malt and some toast and a bitter piney aroma profile. Crisp and smooth flavor with plenty of copper and pale malt to buttress all that spicy bitterness, but they do such a good job making it slightly bready sweet, combined with that little spicy rye bread and bitter leafy pine hop tone, it comes out crisp and balanced and slightly caramelly at the finish. Really well done. stevoj (6059) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 6, 2015
Bottle from Albertsons. Clear amber pour, small ring of foamy head. Tons of rye sourness in both aroma and taste, malts also, some hop bitterness and drying near the finish, but not overdone. Just the right amount bitter/sour balance. ttoadee (1738) - Austin, Texas, USA - SEP 3, 2015
Copper pour, thin off white head, little lace. Nose is grain and subtle hops. Bitter. Middle is creamy caramel malt, spicy rye, and a little honey dew. Finish is medium citrus zest. Balanced beer, nice grain bill.
