Bottle thanks to rollinhard, bottle# 1731 of 2028. Pours a hazy dark red with white fizzy head. Aroma has some nice cherry and malt. Flavor is a different story, I was very dissapointed, very sweet, some farmhouse, alcohol, some cherry, sounds good but it was very rough and not smooth (or smoove). Mouth feel is medium body with high fizzy carbonation. Overall, flavor was rough and just not very good....

Pours great - nice large off-white head that laces well as you drink the ale. Nose is actually rather unpleasant with a fruit-veggie mixture that doesnt overflow with cherry. Dont think Lindemans kriek when you buy this cherry ale. On the palate this beer is mildly cherried, somewhat creamy and medium bodied, and has a faint resemblance to those Ludens cough drops. An unpleasant sour exists as well, and normally I love sour ales.

Bottle #1687/2028. Red/burgundy beer with a big pinkish head. Cherry and sweet malt aroma. Cherry, malt, and light spice flavor. Medium bodied. Cherry and light spice lingers. Huge cherry flavor, but not artificial.

Poured a really nice looking ruby/amber color with an off white head. Aroma was medicinal cherry, some weird astringent notes and some maltiness. Flavor was weak cherry cough syrup and alcohol. The cherry flavor was trying but it tasted a little aritficial and kind of coated the mouth.

Bottle. Ruby brown pour with some light beige head. Aroma is alcohol, somewhat like a malt liquor, with some chemical like cherry. Flavor is the same, somewhat sweet also. The alcohol is too prevalent and the fruit flavor is not very good.

Got a bottle of this at 99 Bottles in Federal Way, WA. Colour... copper red. Nose.... not much there. Maybe a slight squint of cherry. Palate... Carbonation explodes on the tongue than fades out rapidly. Only get a smidge of cherry, then a funky metallic taste on the soft palate.

75 cl 2007 bottle purchased at the brewery. This reddish amber ale poured with a bubbly off-white head that quickly fizzled out. There is a sour cherry aroma and a flat slightly sweet flavor with a funky or even skunky back taste. There is a warming alcohol sensation after a couple sips. This is an interesting brew that tastes thin and medicinal at first, but improves after a while.

First gusher in a while! Pours a bright ruby color, with a big head. Powerful aroma of black cherries, dark malts and brown sugar. Flavor is, indeed, smooth. Cherries and funk dominate, but its almost a bittersweet cherry, not the tart kriek cherry Im used to. It could be some hops showing through, but it tastes more medicinal and metallic (plastic, maybe) than anything else. Im certainly not a fan

A funky farmhouse cherry aroma. This is very strange. Sweet, but also funky, almost like this has some chocolate. Hard to explain this other that I really enjoyed it and dont understand this low rating at all. I understand that it isnt smooth but I missed the phenols and got no soda out of this.

Rusty orange. Off-white head noisily fizzles away within seconds. Off-putting nose of medicine-steeped cherries, fusel alcohol, plasticlike phenols, and brown sugar. Hint of cardboard (oxidation). Prickly, highly acidic and fuzzy carbonation. Bombastic burst of plasticklike phenols clash with grainy accents of toasted malt and flat hints of cardboard. Cloying and medicinal, and utterly devoid of any brightening acid or vibrancy. Extremely sharp as its soda pop-esque and briskly minerally. Finishes heavily on the grainy side with toasted malt lingering amid notes of cherry syrup. Overall very shallow, overly airy, husky, and hot with alcohol. Man, making this stuff is a disservice to beer. Just plain awful, deeply flawed stuff.
