UPDATED: APR 13, 2008 (750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy pink/-amber body with a small white head. Aroma of cherry, wood, and caramel. Flavor of cherry, some cough syrup, alcohol, and some earthiness with a dry finish. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 28, 2009
First gusher in a while! Pours a bright ruby color, with a big head. Powerful aroma of black cherries, dark malts and brown sugar. Flavor is, indeed, smooth. Cherries and funk dominate, but it’s almost a bittersweet cherry, not the tart kriek cherry I’m used to. It could be some hops showing through, but it tastes more medicinal and metallic (plastic, maybe) than anything else. I’m certainly not a fan golubj (1377) - San Mateo, California, USA - MAY 29, 2009
Bottle. Ruby brown pour with some light beige head. Aroma is alcohol, somewhat like a malt liquor, with some chemical like cherry. Flavor is the same, somewhat sweet also. The alcohol is too prevalent and the fruit flavor is not very good. ditmier (1508) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 9, 2009
2008 Bottle - Thanks Toby! - Pours ruddy amber with a dirty, almost purple head...aroma is musty fruit, cherries, cran-apple box drink...flavour is sweet cherry candy, molassas and fire...alcohol is definitely present, nice cherry flavour, but I can’t get past the booze...like cherry Fort divided by 2 and still promising a headache... illidurit (2458) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 23, 2010
Bottle from the free table at Woodshop 5.0. Pours amber with a thin white head. Aromas of mealy mushy cherries, cherry pits, medicine. Flavor is bordering on artificial cherry with some caramel and too much booziness. Thick, hot, fizzy, not particularly good.

750ml - labeled as 2008 bottling - fizzy, slightly hazy red pour - nose of cherry syrup, fusel alcohol burn, some acidity, a mild mineral/baking soda character - lively carbonation in the mouth - taste is syrupy sweet at first, with moderate artificial-tasting cherry flavor - the beer dries out through the middle, becomes a touch acidic, and starts tasting a wee bit belgian in character - a lot of alcohol - not just the burn, but the flavor of alcohol - finishes a bit like fruit-flavored malt liquor - there are some moments in this beer, mostly in the middle, after it dries out, and before the alcohol assaults the palate, where I actually like it - the rest of the experience is disappointing. guerinfbfan (110) - Elmwood Park, Illinois, USA - NOV 29, 2010
Poured a nice red, with a pink frothy head. Aroma was dominated by cherry. Tasted as if you were drinking some carbonated cherry juice, with a tart kick at the end. Not a bad brew, better than I had expected given what others have said about it. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - APR 17, 2011
750ml bottle #322 of 2028. Rating #77. Dark reddish/pink color with a very light pink head and it was a decent little Fisher when I opened it, it also had a good amount of yeast under the cap and in the top of the neck which is strange considering it was never on its side since I’ve had the bottle. Aroma was a little bready with a light cherry aroma.sweet cherry flavor, but with a little wet cardboard mixed in there, the cherry flavor was almost like diluted cherry juice, it wasn’t horrible but it also wasn’t great. 2008 version, bottle 1702 of 2028. Well, its rare. And it’s calls itself smoove instead of smooth. So it’s got that going for it. but, uh, this was odd. There was a weird metallic or medicinal note throughout, and the cherry flavor was too understated. A little too cough syrupy for my tastes.
