3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample pour of deep murky with deep khaki head. Nose is sweet malt and bitter malt, dirty... Not fantastic. Flavor is similar, oats, rich malt, slight alcohol... Not amazing...
Can from Naples Total Wine. 6.5% so not an imperial. Pours a thin bodied black with brown lace. A nice smell of roasted oats, chocolate, vanilla and earthy hops. It has a dark flattened cola-esque flavor to it but still brings the oats and hop to balance it out. Not as much chocolate which makes it less sweet, allowing the roasted oat to clear way. Finish is a little tangy and malt. Weird finish. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 1, 2016
Pours an opaque dark brown color with khaki colored head. Roasted malt, oats, milk chocolate, and some toast on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied. Finishes with cocoa and roast. Fairly smooth. Jabah (536) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - MAY 25, 2016
As more and more brewers are coming out, and the sample size of beers is way higher...I am finding my ratings going down a bit relative to the average norm. This is one of those examples of a stout that I would have rated slightly higher in the past. There is some decent chocolate malt and oat flavor here, but nothing really standing out or to write home about. About average for the style. Distributed in 6-pack cans at 6.5% ABV....so not an imperial stout at this point. Probably better at a higher strength. KimEllis70 (3) - Clearwater, Florida, USA - APR 4, 2016 does not count
I really enjoyed this beer. The oats smooth out any hops so its not very bitter, and has a really creamy mouth feel. You can definitely taste the chocolate which rounds it out and makes it AMAZING. fluffy (2461) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - JUL 22, 2015
honestly never been too excited by their stuff, but this is a cut above. This beer is pretty impressive. I’ve had a few by these guys and this one is up there pretty far. Hope to be able to purchase again sometime in the future. Definitely need to check out more.

On draft at FBG Fest 2015. Pours a stout brown with a tan head. Nose is some roast, some earth, some baker’s chocolate. Flavor is similar with roast, earth, and baker’s chocolate. Light to medium in body and interesting overall. BelgianBeerGal (4155) - Panama City, Florida, USA - JAN 25, 2015
Howler from Growler Country. Pours dark brown with a tan head of tiny bubbles like a dry stout. Light aroma of sweeter malt, a little roasted oats and maybe milk chocolate. More roasted malt in the flavor. Finishes with bitter baking chocolate. Fine. burg326 (5604) - Florida, USA - APR 17, 2014
Poured a black color with aromas of oats, light roast, and a touch of malt. Flavors were the same but had some off flavors, not overly enjoyable for a stout. jjuf1853 (1302) - Land O Lakes, Florida, USA - MAR 15, 2014
Nitro pour at World of Beer Land O Lakes. Near pitch black color with a creamy beige head. Nice mixture of webbed and sheet lacing along the different regions of the glass’ sides. Aroma has roasty coffee notes with a touch of bittersweet chocolate. Flavor includes oatmeal, roasted malts and dark chocolate. Fair amount of bitterness in the finish. Draft at brass tap Tampa. Black. Nitro. Guinness copy cat with more metallic aftertaste.
