Really nice seasonal beer. Great nose to it and a very good taste, good on a cold day.

Draft at Big Time. Pours dark brown -- I’d like to say there was a reddish tint to it, but I’d be making that up. Aroma: dark fruit mostly, along with a little Christmas spice. Taste: Sweet up front, light bitterness, short finish. Palate: medium body, slick texture. Overall: I’m sticking to Old Rip for the next round, but this is nice enough (I feel like I use that phrase a lot with Big Time, but it sums up a lot -- solid beers that are executed nicely enough, with really nothing to complain about). Pours dark red, finger loose off white head.
Smell spicy red fruit, sweet, fig and plum
Taste sweet, slightly hoppy, bit of roast

Draft at btbc. Pours a clear medium amber with golden brown edges. Dense creamy thick tan mousse that sticks around. Sweet caramel and a bit of spruce on the nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Caramel, herbs, and a bright spruce or juniper quality on the mid palate. Long herbal finish. More winter than holiday, but delicious and easy drinking. Hazy brown color with tan foam. Nice floral, spicy caramel aromas. Smooth rich mouthfeel. Dark bread, toasted caramel, light roast flavors with some floral, spicy hoppage--tasty winter brew

On tap at brewery. Pours a reddish brown color with a tan head on top. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, and spices. Flavor is chocolate, herbal hops, roasted malts, caramel and molasses. An interesting winter warmer that is pretty enjoyable. bb (9241) - Alamo, California, USA - NOV 29, 2006
Draft. Ruby/mahogony beer with a tan head. Low malt aroma. Roasty, caramel malt with some spice and just enough hops to balance. Lingering roasty/caramel flavors. Medium bodied. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 25, 2006
Cloudy dark brown. Sweet malt aroma. Very easy drinking. Not a spiced winter. Light hoppy fruit taste.
