0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Light amber in color, moderate "sudsy" head, slightly cloudy. Strong soapy aroma with not much hop character. Taste was identical to the aroma...strange soapiness and only a bitter flavor from the hops. Was said to be hopped with Centenial hops, but no citrusy/fruity character whatsoever.
Tap at source:
Hazy, honey-amber with a whipped, off-white head.
Scent is fruity-sweet.
Taste is the same...a bit of wheat and a hint of spicing.
Pretty good. jcr (2705) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - OCT 18, 2011
Draft. Deep golden body with a white, frothy head. Grainy aroma with only a hint of floral hops. The flavor lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The finish is lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Not a lot of aroma or flavor and what is there is just OK. illinismitty (2271) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 2, 2010
Draft at Brewpub. Pours amber with a somewhat retentive off white head. Aroma of ale esters and floral hops is extremely weak. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavor of pale malts and caramel countered by a very boring and weak hop profile. Thin finish with traces of acetaldehyde. Not a very good example of the style. Needs a little work. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 22, 2009
Dark amber orange, off white cover. A bit of an ’off’ homebrew like character in the aroma, sweet, with a little floral hoppiness. Taste is again sweet, floral hops, light bitter, but that same sourish character.
