Gold Medal in Brussels Beer Challenge 2013, in collaboration with Gunther Bensch from Browerij Montaigu (Belgium), is a beer with the touch of Barcelona. It has a cosmopolitan, innovative and creative spirit, as does the city.

BIIR’s recipe combines the tradition of Belgian Witbier and the innovation of American IPAs.

A large amount of barley and wheat malt from Central Europe provides body and alcohol content above what is usual in Wit. From Australian and North American hops it obtains fruity aromas and flavors, with the precise dose of bitterness that also turns BIIR into a refreshing beer. Three different types of organic orange peel and coriander brings out the aromatic flavors of Mediterranean.

Hazy golden color with off-white head. Aroma has coriander and other spicy and floral notes. Taste is bitter, yeasty, spicy and floral. Easy drinking with light body and medium carbonation.

Piana obfita, średnio trwała. Barwa żółto złota, mętna. Aromat mało intensywny, pszeniczno kolendrowo pomarańczowy. W smaku dużo lepiej, bardzo cytrusowo, soczyście, owocowo, do tego delikatna, dość słodka, biszkoptowa podstawa, solidna, naftowo żywiczna goryczka, kolendrowy posmak i średnie, drobne wysycenie.
Fajne, aczkolwiek zapach do poprawy.

De geur is al niet zo goed. De kleur lichtblond. De smaak is een typische ipa, waar ik dus niet van hou.

Bottled 330ml (Etre Gourmet)
SLightly hazy yellow colour, small white head. Hay, orange, coriander, pepper in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Citrus, orange, coriander in the fruity flavour. Although listed here as witbier, it is more like modern white IPA. Solid brew but feels overrated a bit.

Fles, gekocht bierfestival Nijmegen Valkhof. Mooi licht bier, witte kraag. Sterke IPA met lichte afdronk. Uitstekend van smaak.

adamnowek (3505) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 27, 2017
Turbid bronze colour with a big, dense head. Pretty sweet with orange marmalade, some coriander, and a hoppy bite.

MelvinKalksma (1823) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 11, 2017

Medium aroma of malts, wheat, orange, hops, citrus and spices.

Turbid/opaque pale yellow/yellow beer with a slight/medium white/off-white head.

Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, wheat and orange; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops, citrus and spices.

This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. Thanks to the loads of orange peel and coriander, together with a bucket full of hops; this could truly be called a great Witbier.

courtesy of Antonio Rey - light hazy golden-yellow beer with a modest head retention; pungent aroma of oranges and citrus marmalade, strawberries; full-bodied, solid yet subtle carbonation; fairly bitter and a bit sourish; clean and very tasty; light estery finish with some residual sugars and long tones of yellow fruits - gently wheaty
