COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re in the business of brewing great beer, not ruining your palette. Even our ruthless hop bomb Double IPA is clean and distinguished, balancing booming, citrus-heavy hop flavors with an uncommon crispness and drinkability. It’s an earthy, herbaceous, piney, peppery, citrus-y glass of frosted hops, and it pairs well with pretty much everything. We want you to taste your food, whether at home, at a restaurant or bar, or at our brewery taproom in West Sacramento.

marcus (10757) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 25, 2017
On tap at Capitol Hop Shop. Pours dark brown with a nice tan head and a chocolate and spice aroma. There is a hearty dark molasses flavor with a chocolate finish that stays on the palate.

kespecial (255) - - DEC 31, 2016
Pours slightly cloudy light orange, persistent white head. Aroma is subdued for the style but pleasant, apriciot, pine, lime. Taste is really nice, caramel backboard with the expected pop of earthy, resiny hops, bitter finish. Doesn’t wear out the palate as much as some DIPAs, more balanced and less aggressive. Very good.

Bottle. A slightly hazy golden yellow color with a foamy white head. A floral and citrus aroma with an earthy, pine filled, flavor with a bitter finish.

Zymurgeist2 (2385) - Redwood City, California, USA - MAY 24, 2016
Bottle to pint glass. Pours and orange-copper that is clear and has a sustained white head. Taste and aroma are both geared towards citrus hops with substantial malt backbone that aids and does not overpower. Another solid effort from these guys.

j12601 (13189) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - FEB 15, 2016
On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Big citrus, pungent grapefruit. Soft melon. Medium-bodied, smooth citrus, a hint of candied grapefruit, soft sweetness. Slow carame and a bit of citrus into the finish. Slow musk and malt. ABV is very well hidden.

3.6
brokensail (16678) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 3, 2016
On tap @ Bike Dog. Hazy golden orange beer with white foam. Strong pineapple juice, peach, and tangerine hop aromas. There’s a light caramel sweetness to it. Some onion and pine bitterness and aroma, too. A bit of sweet, fruity hop flavor as well. Lightly floral. Not too shabby.

3.7
joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - OCT 24, 2015
On draft at Tap 25. It pours a pale orange/gold color with an off white head. The aroma has mango, melon and peach. The flavor has good resin and earthiness. Hints of bread with big fruity hop profile. Nice and drinkable for a big hoppy beer. A bit too much resin in the finish, but otherwise very pleasant.
