Had this at Bill’s and Warren House. Yummy! I thought this was an outstanding example of a classic NW hop head beer. Exactly what I love. The grapefruit aroma is very strong. The taste matches the strong aroma and the resin mouthfeel is pronounced. I just wish it wasn’t served sooo cold.

The brewery states that this beer is a work in progress and that the recipe is continually changing. I had this beer in 1999 and 2000. The 2000 version is much better. This brew is hopped exclusively with amarillo hops and it is noticeable (which I like). My only knock is that this beer is a little to light (og 1.048) and comes across a little to grassy (which is a hopping schedule thing)..... 2001 version maybe better...at least I hope so Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 17, 2007
On tap at the brewpub in Cannon Beach, OR--Yum! Poured a cloudy copper-amber with a medium white head. Nose of bright tropical fruits. Great full mouth feel. Finished tangy, bitter, and fruity. Quite good! pinkzambia (1933) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 16, 2005
On Tap at Bill’s: A great example of a hoppy pale ale. The grapefruit aromas and flavors in the hops dominate. It has average carbonation and a mild lacing with no head. Really good. BuckeyeBoy (7894) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 14, 2006

On Tap At Bills Tavern and Brewhouse Cannon Beach OR. Hazy gold, thin white head. Green hop aroma, fresh, herby. Some grapefruit. Very clean pale ale. Could do with a bit more malt body, then good hoppy astringent finish. Very competent ale. Very drinkable. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - AUG 15, 2010

Excellent beer for a small brew pub. Citrus and grapefruit tasting and lightly bitter. Mild hops. Cloudy and creamy with an exceptionally smooth taste. Full bodied without the watery taste that comes in a good many brew pub beers. Highly drinkable. Oakes (17815) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 25, 2007
Hazy amber colour. Fruit hop aroma of indistinct citrus and tropical fruits. Bitter hop flavour. Lots of wood and citrus, with a touch of late grainy astringency. Best on the day. anders37 (26678) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 11, 2008
Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy aroma with some hints of citrus. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter flavor with hints of citrus. Has a malty hoppy finish with a hoppy bitter aftertertaste.
