Roasted, cacao, sweet taste. Roasted, cacao aftertaste. Medium full smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Hazy black color, tan head. Cacao, roasted scent.
From cask at the 26th East Anglian Beer & Cider festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours almost black with a ruby tint and a small lasting beige head. Aroma of malt, toffee, vanilla pods and light fruit. Cask 1/3 pint, gravity dispense, at the 16th Twickenham Beer & Cider Festival. Black colour, beige head. Pleasant aroma of vanilla, chocolate and moderately roasted malts, hints of mild coffee. Very nice flavour, moderately sweet, again notes of vanilla (but not too much), chocolate and mild coffee.
