Bottle shared, thanks Jay. QUite honey forward with lingering notes of wild flowers, pear juice, bready mouthfeel, gentle sweet finish. Pretty decent stuff, quite an interesting brew with some local terroir ingredients. willisread (3459) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 7, 2016
Bottle shared at "Tokyo Ratebeer Dark Tickers of The World Unite or AJB tasting volume 1" event. Thanks Jay! Honey with some floral notes along with brown sugar and bready, raisin bread like malt character. Hides the 7.1 fairly well with average carbonation and a medium body. More honey as it warms. Some apple and pear notes on the palate as well. Sweet, but not cloying. Finish is sweet with some light hop bitterness.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear dark amber color, two-finger tan head, sheets of lace. Aroma of malt with fruit. Taste is clean malt that is lightly infused with honey, mild berries, and a little sweet yeast. It passes through a lightly carbonated swallow to a finish that may have a little hop bittering, but, maybe not. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - SEP 24, 2015
3/6/2009 3:51:05 AM Bottle at 11 Meibockfestival (Amsterdam, May 2008). Murky brown body with slight head. Sweet nose with fruits. Taste less so. More malty and grassy. High ABV noticeable. Okay. superspak (5781) - Michigan, USA - SEP 6, 2015
330 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy dark reddish brown color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of plum, cherry, pear, apple, caramel, honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, peppercorn, light chocolate, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aroma with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pear/honey, and dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of plum, cherry, pear, apple, caramel, honey, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, peppercorn, light chocolate, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of plum, pear, apple, honey, toasted biscuit, light chocolate/nuttiness, peppercorn, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity and solid robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, pear/honey, and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, fairly crisp, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Light-moderate dryness after the finish. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this was a nice fruited Belgian dark ale. All around good balance and solid robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, pear/honey, and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. The aromas were more impressive than the flavors, but this was still a nicely enjoyable offering. tderoeck (10002) - Gent, BELGIUM - AUG 24, 2015

Clear deep amber beer, irregular off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, lots of chlorine, honey pretty oxidized (already?). MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: oxidized, bit metallic, some caramel, bitter touch. Aftertaste: metallic, oxidized, chlorine, slightly sweet. Meh.
Weak light brown head. Aroma is moder malty with fruity (red fruits) and light tobacco and rhubarb notes. Flavor is malty too with fruity (prunes) and light dried fruits tones, ending in a moderately fruity finish. Medium bodied
