UPDATED: JUN 17, 2012 The most well knowm beer in Indonesia. You can see everywhere people drinking it. Most people like it because it feels exotic.

Golden coloured lager with a frothy white head. Aroma: sweet and some straw. Taste: sweet malt with some straw. Tastes more like alcohol free beer in my opinion.

May 2017 - Bottle share at Cotts. As ’Bintang Bir Pilsener’ Big thanks to Sarky for bringing this prize Indonesian beer. Won as part of the Sarky character competition. Brewed in Central Java. Pale golden yellow, clear and still with a foamy off-white head that leaves light lacing. Aroma is corny, light sugary malt. Body is light, tingly carbonation, frothy. Taste is a little corny, some of the standard biscuity-sugary malt vibes but the overwhelming impression is that this tastes the way an indoor 5-a-side football pitch carpet smells. Sort of like those felt balls. It’s plain and basic and exactly what you’d expect from a country tick. (4-4-4-3-11-2.6)

Poor mainstream international lager. Standard appearance. Sweet, some herbal, some disgusting finish. Forgettable.

Bintang Beer (Indonesian: Bir Bintang, "Star Beer") is a brand of beer from Indonesia and is produced by PT Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk, part of Heineken.[1] The beer is styled as a Pale Lager, gold in colour with an ideal serving temperature of 7 °C.[2] The 4.7% ABV Pilsner has a malt and hop flavour. Due to the fact that it is a localized version of Heineken, its taste is similar and comparable to Heineken, and the Bintang bottle is reminiscent of a Heineken bottle; the red star on the bottle is the same as Heineken. Bintang makes a malt based beverage called Bintang Zero 0.0%, a low alcohol Radler called Bintang Radler (in both lemon and grapefruit flavours) 2.0%, a soft drink product called Green Sands.[3] ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours golden with small white head. Aroma: hay, wet paper, corn, malty. Taste: sweetish, malty, weak caramel, paper. Thin body. Drinkable but why.

500ml. In a Cantillon glass. Said glass cost me more than a case of this former communist paradise islands beer probably would. Hi to who evers reading this garbage. Nose of glue, cereal, Indonesian prisoners on death row dreaming of the firing squad to break the painful existence of living in a rat infested Indonesian big house..and some cheap hops. Golde with a decent white head. Do these people marry this beverage with cuisine like cats and dogs ? I’ve thankfully never dined on either, but they inevitably taste like chicken and this beer has that kinda soulless clean texture that complements white soulless meats. It drinks grainy, sweet and.lightly hopped . A little cereal crap. It’s not that bad if you’re in Indonesia and so hot and humid that anything cold is nice. But it’s pretty shitty right here and now on a slightly warm UK summer evening.

20th May 2017: Cotteridge Tasting number 3. Clear and clean golden pour, snow white topping. Corn like aroma and taste, grainy with a slight citrus leaning towards the finish: didn’t take to it.
