Sour cherry, medicinal. Not at all funky really, and very syrupy. Dark red with pink head. Ok, but I’ve had much better krieks.
’Versnijbier’ (blended beer) sold as Cherish Kriek outside of Europe; does show a certain lambic tartness and woodiness, but for the most part it is just as sweet and syrupy, even artificial, as the ’industrial’, sweetened fruit lambics we all know. Not my cup of tea. b3shine (9072) - Indiana, USA - NOV 1, 2014
8.4 oz bottle to snifter. This bottle is labeled Cherish, and has been merged with this name. Looks decent; undercarbonated though. A semi-transparent ruby with virtually no lacing. Smells like cherry cough syrup. Tastes like it smells with a bit of tartness. Medium-bodied and a little sticky. Not bad, but medicinal. slowrunner77 (12581) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 5, 2014
"looks similar to belgian red or lindemans kriek. smell is quite nice. fresh cherries, non-medicinal. still tastes like a beer-not oversweet, but assertive. i’ll buy again. don’t know about the 8.4 oz. bottle though."

Red cherry color with a moderate head and good lacing. Aroma of sweet cherry skin and somewhat like a cherry soda. Taste is sweet cherry skin with a bit of tartness. Soft mouthfeel and light bodied with high carbonation. Flavor is not very complex.

A red wine color. Smells of cherry cough syrup and not much else. A nice sweet cherry taste with a just a hint of sour, dry, kind of like a cherry soda taste. Not bad but sweetness overpowers another flavors that may be there.

Reddish pink with a pink head. A little milder than most lambics. Not very tart or full bodied. dwaggs2 (1297) - Jefferson City, Missouri, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Bottle. Poured a ruby red color with a smaller white head. Aroma was dominated by cherries and what smelled like cherry cough syrup. Flavor was very sweet and had lots of cherry flavor. Malts and syrup in there. Kind of a tart acidic aftertaste. Average beer at best. wekker84 (2389) - etten-leur, NETHERLANDS - JUN 19, 2012

A red beer with a barely there pink head. The aroma is dominated by cherry, of course, as is the flavor. I don’t have much experience with many lambic beers, but the flavor and aroma are pleasant, though a bit too sweet to drink a lot of.
