COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fake Plastic Trees is an American Wheat ale with a hoppy kick. Think of it like an IPA and a wheat getting together and having a baby. It has hoppy aromatics of lemon and peach on the nose while on the palate it has pleasant citrus and grassy notes that blend well with the wheat characteristics. We’re bringing you the best of both worlds in one pint glass

Can picked up in Asheville during vacation. Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have wheat malts, orange and lemon citrus, orange peel, mild earthy notes, mild bitterness, good enough for what it is.

Sampled at GABF 2016 with Paul and Larry. Pours a deep hazy yellow body with thick head. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and somewhat plain overall with notes of soft orange slices and gentle wheat.

Cloudy orange with a fairly lasting white head. Aromas of orange, cereal, a tad musty, light lemon, floral. A little sweet, wheat cereal flavors come through in balance with a fruity hop character. Medium bodied.

Can: Extremely cloudy yellow-brown with a short, off-white head. Orange, wheat scent. Taste is mildly bitter orange-peel, orange malt, wheat malt. Nicely done.....good wheat base and balanced hoppiness.

On draft pours a nice amber with minimal head. More IPA than a wheat for my money. Solid, very drinkable

Can (thanks to Weihenweizen). Floral orange, wheat malt, and orange peel aroma. Cloudy yellow with small head. Moderately sweet orange/lemon (linalool), wheat malt, and moderately bitter pine/grapefruit peel flavor. Nice body. Very nice hoppy wheat ale.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2016 3 weeks old, pours a hazy, unfiltered orange color with 2 inches of foamy white head. Smells incredible- fresh citrus and lemons. Tastes just as good as it smells, grapefruit and lemons balanced just barely with malty sweetness. Super easy drinking. This is a top tier IPA from a local Charlotte brewing superstar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It pours a cloudy yellow color, really freaking cloudy. Aroma is snappy with lemon and a slight sweetness I can’t put my finger on. Taste is delicious of slight sweetness (cherry?), grapefruit, tangerine, and pine sap. Awesome stuff, best wheat beer I’ve had. Give me this over Three Floyds Gumballhead any day. Best part of it is it’s a 20 minute drive from my house.
