The Jalapeo Pale is in a class by itself. Using our Free Will Pale as a foundation, we add a generous amount of fresh, hand-cut jalapeos mixed with a hint of awesome. Dont be scared to try it! The Jalapeo is refreshing, crisp, and pairs well with the peanuts we have in the tap room!

On tap at VBGB in Charlotte. Looked nice, had a cool aroma of peppers and southwestern spices, but I could just not get into this one. The pepper taste was almost fake-tasting and was completely unappetizing. I couldnt even finish it, actually - my fiancee really liked it, though, so maybe Ill try it again sometime with a clean palate.

Can... Pours clear and golden with orange highlights and a white head. The aroma features earthy hops and earthy jalapenos. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is all about assertive jalapenos accompanied by unobtrusive bitterness. No spicy heat though. Not much going on here. Not flawed. Just boring with a bitter, chili pepper aftertaste.

Really this is well done for a spice beer. Pairs perfect with Doritos. Nose is pepper and corn grain. No bite on the back of the throat. But lots of corn tortilla. Nice. Just needs more bite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared 16 oz. can. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Jalapeno pepper nose. Taste is largely jalapeno, light malt, hint of citrus. Mildly spicy finish. Not bad.

Aroma: definitely getting jalapeno; Appearance: hazy yellow pour with thin white head that lingers; Taste: surprisingly good; jalapeno lends pepper flavor without spiciness to decent pale ale; works well together; Palate: medium body with medium finish and a hint of spice at the end; Overall: was suspicious at first but actually quite good.

I am a fan of pepper beers and this one (16 oz can) is a nice one. Havent tried the base pale, but generally dont care for English hopped pales. Hops play a Back seat to the jalapeos, but its well balanced. Light to moderate Hoppiness and a nice pepper aroma and flavor, fresh, vegetal without a ton of heat. Nice summer brew.

Different kinda beer from local clt brewery. Aroma and taste dominated by fresh jalapeño notes. Very one dimensional beer. No heat to speak of which jives with the can label. Not picking up much hop character. Fairly easy drinking and medium mouthfeel. An interesting take on a pale ale but how much jalapeño does anyone really want to drink? Novelty category here. One and done. WBA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bright golden with white head. Smells like straight up fresh jalapeos and citrus. Flavor is not hot but pepper flavor is there. The citrus flavor is there second in line. Overall not for session drinking but good for a pint.

16 oz can; slightly cloudy, amber color; citrusy hop aroma with mild pepper notes; earthy, bready malt with citrusy hops and tropical fruit notes and mild jalapeno notes; though no real heat

Delivers on what it says it is. Good pepper flavor without the heat although I would have preferred that.

Can shared by Cliff. Pours a hazy golden with a thin layer of spotty creamy head. Aroma and taste of spice, fresh veggies, malts.
